[Pharo-users] Viewing all Spec icons
Is there a "smalltalk" way of displaying all the icons that are available in spec? Or a website with all the images, just so that I can have a "bird eye's view" of the data?

Excellent! I've bookmarked it to show others. That answered my questions (and those that others will inevitably ask, too). -t (Well, maybe one more: What's the criterion for when the robot stops? Re: [Pharo-users] Round 1 test
It took four takes, but I think I've got it nailed for good: https://youtu.be/ArEWif7JUBk I'm hoping these kinds of videos from the competition will be great advertising. We shall see... -- Sent from: http://forum.world.st/Pharo-Smalltalk-Users-f1310670.html

Yes... it is basically the same version... maybe I should change the version to 9 On Mon, Feb 3, 2020 at 4:06 PM Damien Pollet wrote: > > just tried it (from get.pharo.org/64/vmHeadlessLatest90), but the VM I get > says this: > ./pharo --version > Pharo 8.2.0 built on Dec 25 2019 … > > On Tue, 28 Jan 2020 at 10:35, teso...@gmail.com wrote: >> >> A new version of the headless VM is available. >> >> It can be downloaded from: >> >> https://files.pharo.org/vm/pharo-spur64-headless/win/PharoVM-8.3.0-b612fd5f-win64-bin.zip >> https://files.pharo.org/vm/pharo-spur64-headless/linux/PharoVM-8.3.0-b612fd5-linux64-bin.zip >> https://files.pharo.org/vm/pharo-spur64-headless/mac/PharoVM-8.3.0-b612fd5-mac64-bin.zip >> >> Or more easily using ZeroConf: >> >> With the image >> $ wget -O - get.pharo.org/64/90+vmHeadlessLatest | bash >> >> Without >> $ wget -O - get.pharo.org/64/vmHeadlessLatest90 | bash >> >> This new version has a series of bugfixes and the following features: >> >> - Update TFFI to v1.2.0: Allowing better marshaling and callbacks from >> outside threads. >> - Update README.md >> - Add instructions on how to create a vmmaker image. >> - Fixing UnixOSProcessPlugin >> - Redefinition of squeakFileOffset >> - Generating include files as an artifact >> - Adding a configurable strategy for reading / writing the image >> - Building using Musl Libc >> - A cleaner implementation of the print to stdout and file. >> - OSX File Dialog >> - OSX icon customization >> - OSX customization for apps. >> - Adding build on GitHub actions >> >> I will like to thank all the contributors specially Guille, Esteban, >> Ronnie. just tried it (from get.pharo.org/64/vmHeadlessLatest90), but the VM I get says this: ./pharo --version Pharo 8.2.0 built on Dec 25 2019 … On Tue, 28 Jan 2020 at 10:35, teso...@gmail.com wrote: > A new version of the headless VM is available. > > It can be downloaded from: > > > https://files.pharo.org/vm/pharo-spur64-headless/win/PharoVM-8.3.0-b612fd5f-win64-bin.zip > > https://files.pharo.org/vm/pharo-spur64-headless/linux/PharoVM-8.3.0-b612fd5-linux64-bin.zip > > https://files.pharo.org/vm/pharo-spur64-headless/mac/PharoVM-8.3.0-b612fd5-mac64-bin.zip > > Or more easily using ZeroConf: > > With the image > $ wget -O - get.pharo.org/64/90+vmHeadlessLatest | bash > > Without > $ wget -O - get.pharo.org/64/vmHeadlessLatest90 | bash > > This new version has a series of bugfixes and the following features: > > - Update TFFI to v1.2.0: Allowing better marshaling and callbacks from > outside threads. > - Update README.md > - Add instructions on how to create a vmmaker image. > - Fixing UnixOSProcessPlugin > - Redefinition of squeakFileOffset > - Generating include files as an artifact > - Adding a configurable strategy for reading / writing the image > - Building using Musl Libc > - A cleaner implementation of the print to stdout and file. > - OSX File Dialog > - OSX icon customization > - OSX customization for apps. > - Adding build on GitHub actions > > I will like to thank all the contributors specially Guille, Esteban, > Ronnie. Re: [Pharo-users] Dictionary removeKey: very low
Pierre It’s all to do with rehashing. A dictionary is stored as an Array of Association. After a key and its corresponding association is removed, the remaining entries are rehashed from the removal point to the end of the array. By doing the removals in natural order, you rehash the whole of the remaining array after each removal. Try doing the removals in reverse order; on my machine it reduces the time from 6 seconds to 6 milliseconds. Any idea for fix that ? Can I use another Dictionary implementation or settings ? Thanks. Pierre
