[Phono-L] Columbia BF Peerless
Wow, I never thought of that !! A two minute Blue Amberol Cylinder?? Could that be what drove the price up?? The Strange thing is that I actually sent the owner an email asking him if he played the blue amberol on the BF, he answered that he did and it sounded fine. [Phono-L] Columbia BF Peerless
These were from the Mexican series and they normally sell for under $200. > From: Bruce78rpm at comcast.net> To: phono-l at oldcrank.org> Date: Thu, 16 > Oct 2008 07:31:49 -0400> Subject: Re: [Phono-L] Columbia BF Peerless> > Wow, > I never thought of that !! [Phono-L] Rumor on AOL & their Hometown
Hi "as I have been informed that AOL is closing down and deleting all uploaded materials that you may have entrusted to their service. End date is October 31." This is apparently a rumor (Urban Legend?). I just called AOL and asked about it. They deny any changes to their Hometown or FTP sites for each member. I have seen the above rumor on a Blog or two, but not on any official AOL Site where we would expect to see it - if it were true. I wonder why their own (AOL) Techs seem unaware? I am a paying customer of AOL, so maybe there are different levels - compared with those who have it free?
