I just sent a note which is in error - this episode IS new. I swear I saw something like it a few months ago, but it wasn't this one. It is viewable online, though (with commercials) . The finished product is ... well, you'll see. - Original Message - From: "Graham Newton" To: Sent: Thursday, February 23, 2012 7:55 PM Subject: Re: [Phono-L] Alba Gramphone on American restoration... Did you see how they "restored" the motor? Nothing was taken apart, the poor thing was just hosed off with a solvent. Also, did anyone else notice the extra long crank on it? One other thing to notice is that the son and friend picked out some 45s to play on it at the record store. $1,800 would have bought a very nice original Victor. I did and I think the reproducer was wrong. Wasn't that an Edison portable reproducer on the machine?
