while commenting out a portion of a regular expression on a single line of
code, I noticed that:

/* "'<script[^>]*?>.*?</script>'si"; */

 works fine, but that the following generate a Parse error

// "'<script[^>]*?>.*?</script>'si"; 
# "'<script[^>]*?>.*?</script>'si";

Surely, comment syntax should be read first before ignoring the trailing
text, no?
