If I call the same page with any type of query string appended, eg, http://127.0.0.1/hello.php?x=y the only thing returned is a blank page with: "Error 0: Not Found." I came across the solution on the BadBlue website. In PHP.ini, if "doc_root=" is not blank, you get this behavior. If you edit it back to just doc_root= , the problem goes away and the url is evaluated properly.
