bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same.

I really want to test the CVS version, but I run Debian Sarge and can't
./configure it:
configure: error: flex versions supported for regeneration of the
Zend/PHP parsers: 2.5.4 (found: 2.5.31).
