Many thanks for the prompt reply from PHP. I don't think it is the libmysql.dll issue. I have the libmysql.dll under the C:\php, and all the php_xx.dll under the C:\php\ext. I have set the environment paths to point to both directories, modified the php.ini to point the extension directory, and re-started my comp. Still, I couldn't load the php_mysql.dll and php_mysqli.dll. No problem to load other php_xx.dll. Ok, I have resolved the problem by trial-an-error: 1) Simply uninstall MySQL. I could then see (from phpinfo()) that both php_mysql.dll and php_mysqli.dll loaded successfully. 2) Then, re-install MySQL.
