But I doubt it can be too strangely laid out because I've never had a problem just running copies of PHP arbitrarily from extracted zips. [2012-01-16 13:07:13] lucien_sabre at yahoo dot it I tried downloading the zipped version, to simply overwrite the existing files, but I didn't understand where to put the files - and I'm a bit afraid of messing up current installation. Never used the installer so can't really advise about that, sorry. [2012-01-14 21:12:32] lucien_sabre at yahoo dot it Description: I cannot upgrade my PHP version. I already had this problem last year, when I tried to upgrade from PHP 5.3.0 to 5.3.5; after a couple of mails, you dismissed me by saying my version wasn't updated and that I should download the latest version from the Downloads page...but that was what I had done and it hadn't worked. So, I stuck with version 3.5.0 and waited. Today, I tried to download latest version 5.3.9, but I got the same error - that you can see in http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac242/luciensabre/install_error.png. What can I do to upgrade my version? Test script: --- // Expected result: // Actual result: -- // -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=60756&edit=1
