Please double-check the documentation available at http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to report a bug at http://bugs.php.net/how-to-report.php You need to use a Case Insensitive Collation on the server side http://www.destructor.de/firebird/caseinsensitivesearch.htm Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2013-03-22 13:58:44] matheus at gigatron dot com dot br What exactly is the limitation that the PDO-Firebird (or Interbase) interfaces has? What sort of query or procedure can you do on a firebird client (such as IBExpert) that you cannot do through the pdo/interbase interfaces? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2013-01-22 15:51:27] jackmason at mindspring dot com Description: ------------ Firebird/InterBase databases provide case insensitive data capabilities for both tables and queries but no such feature seems to exist in the PHP interface to either Firebird or InterBase. The data we need to access will have wide variations in uppercase and lowercase such as McGraw, Macarthur, MacArthur, Magee, MaGee as well as similar variations in data such as "the Last..." versus "The Last...", "an Invitat..." versus "An Invit..." or even "an invit..". Please provide a method of issuing a query for "McGraw" that would find "mcgraw", "Mcgraw", and "mcGraw". ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=64048&edit=1
