[PHP-DEV] Bug #12117: Wont create executable?

2001-07-12 Thread jason . gulledge

From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Operating system: SunOS 5.7 sparc Ultra-E10K
PHP version: 4.0.6
PHP Bug Type: *Compile Issues
Bug description: Wont create executable?

I ran "make install" without a hitch and works perfectly from the webserver
(Apache).

Howerver, no "php" executable was created on the server.

I find this quite odd. How might I regain the executable?

What was the configure line used? I guess you're trying
to compile PHP as static module into Apache?
Did you read the INSTALL file?
Did you first run './configure' in Apache src dir?

This is the error when trying to connect:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ocilogon() in /imports/wwwroot/heh.php on
line 6

I used (with php)

configure
--without-mysql
--with-oci8
--with-apache=/usr/local/apache_1.3.19
--enable-track-vars

Apache compiled fine.. php scripts work, the phpinfo() shows that I have oracle
installed and used and gives the correct pathname..etc but I still cannot connect.

oracle 8.1.5
apache 1.3.19

Um...which square boxes, exactly? :) The user notes, the
warnings, the tables, what? It sort of sounds like making the
boxes less square would solve your problem, but I honestly
doubt that it's square boxes which are causing your problem.

Which information did you find useless and/or misleading? If
you can give us a better handle on the problems you're having
it'll be easier to fix.

Thanks,

Torben

Is there a reason there are so many square blocks of useless data on this websit

I'm trying to install PHP/Apache and get a Core dump everytime I try to start Ap
ache. I think it may be due to a step that's not clearly documented on the PHP
website because of these square boxes replacing actual, useful data [which I can
not see].
