Description: can't compile pdflib in php4.0.3pl1

same problem..

even compiling pdflib with --prefix=/usr/local/pdflib-3.0.3 and configuring php with 
--with-pdflib=/usr&local/pdflib-3.0.3 results in the same error...

i am kinda lost with this

Could you try to configure PDFlib with --enable-shared-pdflib
If the configure finds tiff,png and zlib support, all is fine, else you might use 
--with-zlib=/usr/local ... in addition.

for configuring php --with-pdflib=/usr/local should be enough.
--with-zlib-dir --with-tiff-dir is normaly not neccesary.

then i try to configure php with:

./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.14 
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql 
--with-dbase 
--enable-memory-limit=yes 
--enable-track-vars 
--enable-debug=no 
--with-gd 
--with-zlib-dir 
--with-tiff-dir 
--with-pdflib=/usr/local

and it results in the described error

problem persists with the latest snapshot

Could you try to configure PDFlib with --enable-shared-pdflib
