[PHP] Delay in a mail item.

2005-07-20 Thread SMTP retry
One of your mail items is currently undeliverable at this site, and is
on a queue for retransmission. A retransmission attempt will occur
periodically for the next 4 days.

The usual reason is that the host that we tried to send your mail to
is inaccessible via the internet (presumably temporarily).
If we cannot make contact in the next 4 days your mail will
be returned.

The exact reason for the return should be outlined in the session
transcript below. If you have any questions please contact your
local postmaster.

So start one. Lots of free forum scripts out there. Domain names are
like $8.95 or something, and hosting can be had for free if you look
around, or for cheap if you don't.

Besides the PHP manual, this list is the best PHP resource there is.
There are some smart and experienced people here who go beyond the
casual interest of visiting a web forum. Here your questions are put
in front of them no matter. Rasmus himself even answers questions.

Using x for free then complaining that it's not y benefits no one.

I don't understand why everyone like these mailing lists so much.
Web-forums more convenient.

[PHP] Delay at first use of OpenSSL functions

2005-01-18 Thread Vladas Shukevichus
Hello, Gents,
When I use any OpenSSL encryption/decryption function (like
openssl_seal, openssl_open, openssl_public_encrypt,
openssl_private_decrypt, etc.) it takes very long time to execute,
when
it has been called in a first time. After that other function calls
performs very fast in the same script.
[18 Jan 1:23am CET] [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Not a php bug; the openssl libraries are gathering entropy on that
first
hit.
How can I prevent this? All scripts executes a second longer, if
there are any OpenSSL function.
Reproduce code:
---
$btime = microtime(true);
openssl_seal('Some information', $sealed, $ekeys,
array(openssl_get_publickey('file://C:\512.pub')));
echo 'Time:  '.(microtime(true) - $btime);
$btime = microtime(true);
openssl_seal('Some information', $sealed, $ekeys,
array(openssl_get_publickey('file://C:\1024.pub')));
echo 'brTime:  '.(microtime(true) - $btime);
Expected result:

Time: 0.00
Time: 0.00075888633728
Actual result:
--
Time: 0.969028949738
Time: 0.00075888633728
