It's the closest theme they had to my phpguru site. It even uses the
Georgia font I think.

Didn't realise you could create them, thought it was just an interface
for reading Usenet. But since you can - it's perfect.

Yup, I want a discussion list for supporting my RGraph software,
like this one.

 which uses mailman.

There's more than enough bandwidth and space on the server you
have with me, Richard. I'd recommend just putting it on there. It's
exceedingly easy to configure and use.

That's what I'd recommend, too. It's not PHP, but it's tried and
true, tested over years and years, and probably in the millions or
tens of millions of messages handled.

Re: [PHP] Mailing lists

2008-10-29 Thread Michael Kubler

I agree.
Mailman has everything you need from a mailing list and is the defacto
standard.
Besides, with it you only need to press 'reply' not 'Reply all' when
trying to send to the list... unlike this one.

Usually you would setup it up on a subdomain (e.g _lists.__domain.com_)
and can then have multiple lists on that domain, such as
[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] etc..
