1. You are replying to the wrong person.
2. I was giving troubleshooting support in reply to
another user's email. I was not asking for anything
related to Earthlink.
3. What is [EMAIL PROTECTED] doing on the
PHP-Install mailing list?

Earthlink's technical support is not supposed to be on
this list. We are not your customers per se. I
recommend that you go to
http://www.php.net/mailing-lists.php and unsubscribe
yourselves from the "Installation issues and problems"
mailing list.

[PHP-INSTALL] Help Installing local server

2004-01-04 Thread Gene Ingraham
Hi,

I am attempting to install PHP version 4.3.4 with Apache 2.0.48 and
MySQL on my local machine running Windows XP (HE). The object is to
test a database I am designing to be put up on our website.

[PHP-INSTALL] Problem with cookies

2004-01-04 Thread Filut
Hello !
I have just installed PHP 4.3.4 & Apache 1.3.29 + mod_ssl in my RH 7.3
serwer.
Everything works fine except one thing:

I cannot read cookies.
I used configurations below for PHP:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php \
--with-apache=../apache_1.3.29 \
--with-mysql \
--with-gettext \
--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/conf \
--with-bz2 \
--with-db3 \
--with-mysql \
--with-zlib \
--with-gd \
--with-ttf \
--with-gdbm \
--with-gettext\
--with-ncurses \
--with-gmp \
--with-iconv \
--with-mm \
--with-png \
--with-pspell \
--with-xml \
--enable-gd-native-ttf \
--enable-bcmath \
--enable-magic-quotes \
--enable-memory-limit \
--enable-dbx \
--enable-dio \
--enable-track-vars

and for apache:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache \
--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a \
--enable-module=most \
--enable-shared=max \
--enable-module=php4 \
--enable-module=usertrack

Have you any ideas ??

Previous compnents (Apache 1.3.2 and PHP 4.2.1 works good).

Regards
Paul

[PHP-INSTALL] Win XP and PHP 5

2004-01-04 Thread Maartin

Hi all,

I’m in some dire need of help.

I have just installed php 5b3 on my WinXP pc following the
instructions in install.txt

I choice the isap route and did a simple php page that
contains only HTML no php as

Yet but I keep getting this error message:

The specified module could not be found.

I have done the adding of the module to the Mappings
section, I even removed it and added it

again but no effect. I had a look @ strace but have no idea
on what to start the trace.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thx.

Maartin.

Does anyone have objections to my going through an inbox of Autoreplies and
helping the obviously unconcerned support departments (like below)
unsubscribe from the PHP list?

2004-01-04 Thread choinet
Excellent idea, although I should add that many of the
support departments are now defunct and do not respond
(no idea why they even bother to stay on the lists).
Perhaps we could get php.net to remove them?
