Dektol is normally used 1+2 dilution, though I've used it in 1+1 dilutions at
times.  However, it sounds like your camera has a leak.  Put a piece of paper
in it, take the camera out into the sun, bring it back in (without exposing the
paper) and develop the paper.  My guess is that it will not come out white.

Not at all.  Kodak film may be a bit hard to find in Japan, of course ...-(:)
but Portra VC 400 is on every photostore shelf.  I just happen to like better
the way it reacts to long exposures than Fuji film.  I also find I can handle
it better in the darkroom than Fuji.

The candle image (candlabra?sp?) is my favorite though I enjoyed seeing
your face too.. I have done some 4 or 5 minute self-portraits, but not
handheld and usally with my chin resting on something or half laying down.

Someone mentioned trying this film... is it something special?
