Hmmm, okay. Very poor website design. I would like to see more pictures,
get
more details, maybe even find out how much it costs. I have no desire to
send
him an email. Anyway, I do my email through Yahoo, so this doesn't do me
a
whole lot of good. Too bad that something that should be so simple
becomes
impossible. I wonder if the camera is similarly designed.

Common George, give Joaquin a break. The 1000's words the pictures in his
site say speak very loud of his design and craftmanship.

I said in my post that this was a PRE-ANNOUCEMENT. Joaquin sent me and a
couple of other persons an email for us to PRE-VIEW his new creation, the
site IS NOT meant as THE site from which he'll sell this camera, nor it is
intended to ANNOUNCE the camera to the world, it says in the home page that
there will be a web site coming soon.

I'll stop short of saying I made a mistake with my posting of Joaquin
pre-announcement to the list, Joaquin indicated to me, he was surpriced to
find this morning so many emails from people interested, so no question some
people were impressed with the beauty of the cameras and wanted to know
more.

The Kodak single-weight paper does not have a logo on the back. I don't
believe it comes in a matte surface any more.

Re: [pinhole-discussion] Kodak Paper without Logos

2002-12-08 Thread Byron

Hello.

I used to do quite a lot of large paper negative work. I used Ilford
papers, since they were one of the very few companies that did not print
their logo on the back of their papers.

Ilford papers come in a wide selection of surfaces. I found them to be
most suitable for making large paper negatives and contact prints.

One trick I used to experiment with was 'wet' contact printing. I would
process the large paper negative and, being an impatient sort I would then
wet (with water) a sheet of unexposed paper, I would then place them face
to face (emulsion to emulsion) on a glass sheet and use a rubber squeegee
to remove the air pockets. Once this was done I would expose to light and
develop normally (after peeling the two apart again)

Anyhow. Ilford.

Dear Kate

I very much like your images. They are ethereal and mysterious making me
want to know what the subject is but knowing that the not knowing is part of
the picture.

On a more mundane side of things, I would have liked to have been able to
enlarge the images. However, this is something you have probably thought
of. It is better to put it up that wait.

sharpen the image slightly. I had only one shot left on my holiday film
