[pinhole-discussion] pinhole woes

2003-10-04 Thread stephen ugh
hi all,
ive been converting working cameras into pinhole
cameras.
ive been using a brownie for 120 and a fedka (russian
copy of leica) for 35mm.
heres the problem, the chromes ive got from my fed
have a 'hot spot' in the exact center,
an overexposed point on every frame, aside from that
the results have been good.
my brownie experiments dont have this at all, and both
cameras use a drilled brass plate for the apperature
and all glass lenses have been removed.
of course the pinhole for the brownie is further away
from the film, about 5", than the pinhole on the 35mm,
about 1 3/4" to 2 1/2" respectively by collapsing and
extending the lens.
anyone else ever get this or know why?
thank you.
