[pinhole-discussion] Different cameras
Hello, I'm doing a talk about pinhole and I would like to show them how any packaging/containers can be a camera - does anyone know of a website with pinhole cameras made from different objects? And anyone who makes their own wooden ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated! [pinhole-discussion] website
Hello, My website is now up and running if you would like to have a look. It was done as part of my masters degree project where I looked at ways to show my work and getting involved with communities on the web, so it contains a forum. I invite people to put their pictures on there - but please don't think I'm trying to poach members from here!!! It uses flash and needs IE5 or above to run. Some parts are slow to load but if anyone has major problems (or suggestions)with it if you could let me know so I can try to fix it. The address is www.pinhole-photographer.co.uk Many thanks, Heidi
RE: [pinhole-discussion] medium format pinhole
Thanks for all your help with my query - going to try to convert an old camera from a car boot but think going to treat myself to a zero image one - they do look good!! Heidi Hello, Can anyone recommend a medium format camera (6x6) that's simple to convert to pinhole? A Mamiya TLR with interchangable lens capabilities can be pinholed by making a pinhole lens board. Additional benefit is you can use it as a lens camera also, intermixing pinhole with non-pinhole on the same roll. Mine is a C220 and sweet to use. This is 6x6. A medium format body cap from Pinhole Resources can convert some models, such as a Mamiya 645 or Hassy to pinhole, again selectively can be intermixed with normal lens images. See http://www.pinholeresource.com/products.html#bodycap Not the cheapest, but quite simple conversions. [pinhole-discussion] Pinholes for D100
Hello, Just got a couple of Nikon D100 digital cameras at work and wanted to have a go at doing some digital pinholes. Can anyone give me any tips about how to go about it? RE: [pinhole-discussion] off topic: photoshop tutorial book?
Hi, Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for Photographers: A Professional Image Editor's Guide to the Creative Use of Photoshop for the Mac and PC ~ Martin Evening -- (Paperback - 7 August, 2002) Not read it myself but other people and magazine reviews have said it's good. Subject: [pinhole-discussion] off topic: photoshop tutorial book? Sorry off topic, but since there are so many with great knowledge on the list I want to start doing darkroom work in the computer, and want a tutorial book with information on photographic ways of usiung Photoshop. What I mean is that I'm _not_ interested in Photoshop-filter-effects, nor collageing. I like the look that you get from normal darkroom work, but want to do my dodging, burning, cropping, contrast adjustments etc in the computer. I will mostly work in black-and-white to start with. There are plenty of Photoshop-books on the market, but most of them seem to be crappy. Is there any good book? Or perhaps a good magazine? RE: [pinhole-discussion] black dust
Could scan it in sections and stick it together in photoshop? Bit more work but does the job! Heidi -Original Message- From: Eric Hinders [mailto:hinderse...@yahoo.com] Sent: 17 December 2002 15:48 To: pinhole-discussion@p at ??? Subject: Re: [pinhole-discussion] black dust Yes, its hard to tell with out looking at the print, but from my experience the most easy (not always the cheapest) way to spot a picture would be to scan it and retouch it in photoshop. the only problem is finding a scanner big enough for your print. But most larger printing studios have them. Catherine Just blue_medic...@yahoo.com wrote: Hi, I made a 20x24 black and white photograph of a pinhole image for myself and one for my boyfriend as a gift. I had the print made at a lab and there is a line of black dust that is really noticable as it is really close to the middle of the print. I know this is due to my pinhole camera not being clean when I took the shot. But is there a way to do something like spot toning only to whiten it up?? I don't really know if I will give him the print if I can't lighten that up, or cover it up completely.
