[pinhole-discussion] Pinhole mounted in bodycap on EOS cameras

2002-08-16 Thread Rune Tallaksen
I am wondering if any of you more experienced people on the list can
help me with this minor challenge. I will like to mount a pinhole on a
bodycap and put it on one of my EOS bodies.
I have been searching the net and have found a lot of information for my
other pinholeprojects (4x5", 6x7) but not on this particular subject.

My questions are:

How do I measure the distance from the filmplane til the pinhole?

What will the optimal pinholediameter be?

Will my built in exposure be able to measure the light and set a
"correct" exposure?

What else should I think of?

[pinhole-discussion] Determining exposure beyond.....................

2001-09-17 Thread Rune Tallaksen
Hi list!

Can anybody help me with how to determine exposure when correcting for
resiprosity failure when the measured esposuretime exceeds that of the table
from the filmvendor?

For instance when using Ilford HP5 Plus, the film data sheet gives the added
time for resiprosity failure until initial measured 35 secs(corrected for
pinhole f stop). How can I calculate the "correct" exposure time beyond this
point? Tiral and error until now has not been satisfactory for me.

Any help will be appreciated.

[pinhole-discussion] PInhole problem - flaring?

2001-04-30 Thread Rune Tallaksen
I have now "shot" my first roll of pinhole on my customized Ricohcord camera
with a special result I've not seen before on my pinholes.

There is a distinct flaring in the centre of the negative. Comments anyone?

[pinhole-discussion] Calculating f-stop for pinhole camera

2001-04-07 Thread Rune Tallaksen
When making a pinhole by means of a needle one usually know the pinholesize
by the needle size used.
I seem to recall that there is another way to do get to know the exact
pinholesize but cannot remember the formula used. The method was described
as follows.
Mount the pinhole sheet in a slideframe, place it in a slideprojector.
Then by measuring the distance from the pinhole in the slideframe and to the
projector screen and the diameter of the projected pinhole on the screen, by
means of a formula it was possible to find the exact pinhole size. Anybody
out there that know which formula (s) to use??
