Re: [pinhole-discussion] What is the best scanner?
Yes, but the guides don't always work--like with 35mm pinhole pictures where the image extends into the sprocket holes and you want to scan the whole thing. Or when running 35mm film through a medium format camera (same issue with sprocket holes). In both those instances, I tried putting the film into one of the bigger guides, but the film dips down and touches the glass. -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com From: George L Smyth glsm...@myway.com Reply-To: pinhole-discussion@p at ??? You can automate things so that, by using the guides, it will recognize the images and offer them to you already selected. This allows you to scan them in batches, which I did with a few rolls of slides I took in Spain. The results were excellent, so not using the guide hands you a bunch of disadvantages. [pinhole-discussion] Polaroid Pinhole Success!
I turned my Polaroid Super Shooter Plus into a pinhole following Mike's info, and it worked! The first try was too dark. So I took off the pinhole and made it bigger. I have to have the lightness/darkness setting on the lightest, but I'm afraid if I make the pinhole any bigger, the images will be fuzzy. I used 667 film (3000 speed) with the camera set at 75 ASA and took the photos in full sun. These 2 came out pretty good. The coneflower picture is actually a little brighter than the scan came out. http://www.bonkersfiber.com/photos/pinhole/polaroid/selfportrait.jpg http://www.bonkersfiber.com/photos/pinhole/polaroid/echinacea.jpg -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com
Re: [pinhole-discussion] not pinhole ... but !
Is there any info on how he is doing this? I find it very interesting. It looks like he is holding the camera up, but what is reflecting everything and how is it supported? You don't see anything that looks like it goes from the reflecting thing to the camera. But since he has it in a variety of places, it must be portable. . . . -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com From: Jean Daubas j.dau...@free.fr http://www.din.umontreal.ca/courchesne/journalpanoscopique.html
Re: [pinhole-discussion] #80 drill bit
Oh, I have a bunch of exacto knives and didn't even think about using that as a holder. Thanks! Wow, your site is very informative! That must have taken a long time. I like your pinhole shots. I got a bunch of altoid tins film cans ready to shoot with yesterday. But by the time I got the pinholes taped on and the film loaded in all of them, the sun was going down. [pinhole-discussion] #80 drill bit question
Okay, so I ran out and got a #80 drill bit to try. Are you all putting these in your drill? I'm worried I'll break it when I tighten the chuck. Plus, I can't seem to get it in straight, which would make a bigger pinhole. Or are you sticking this in an eraser like the old fashion way? Thanks! Traci Bunkers

Are you using the cans that 35mm bulk loaded film comes in? Or the black plastic ones a roll of film comes in? -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com From: Ingo Günther ingoguent...@web.de Hi Mickey, me too (and empty film cans to make cameras) !. Regards, Ingo
Re: [pinhole-discussion] wondering
Steven, I enjoyed your photos on your web site. What type of pinhole camera are you using for the panoramic shots that have a fish-eye look to them? I also process my own 120 b/w film, then scan it on my scanner. When I shoot color, I have the local lab process only and I scan. Otherwise it's too expensive for me. -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com http://www.s-rees.co.uk/pinhole/wal/2.htm
Re: [pinhole-discussion] uploaded photo with thing in corner
I never thought about it being a light leak. Being that it is roundinsh, any idea where it might be coming from? I'll have to take a look. I modified it myself and put on a shutter release cable. I had to cut part of where the lens housing was to fit a brass channel in. I taped it up over that, but maybe it needs more tape! -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com From: Jeff Dilcher r...@hiddenworld.net Reply-To: pinhole-discussion@p at ??? [pinhole-discussion] need pinhole advice
I also sent this yesterday, but it didn't make it to the list. . I uploaded 2 photos to the gallery: traci_bunkers_2_1 traci_bunkers_1 Near the upper right I get an area that is lighter than the rest of the pictures. What causes this and how can I fix it? I took this with a Holga that I modified to be a pinhole with approx F/230. This was shot on Kodak 160VC. The exposures were approx 4 secs. Also, in some of my shots (not these), in the bottom right corner I get a diagonal line that is curved and varies in thickness/shape. Is this a reflection off of something in the camera? I sprayed the inside with a flat black paint and sharpied the shutter. I haven't noticed this thing when I shoot with black white film. Thanks for any advice! -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com

I mistakenly uploaded the same photo twice, and can't find out how to delete one of them. Anyone know? -- Traci Bunkers Bonkers Handmade Originals http://www.bonkersfiber.com
