Ben,

As long as a cameras has a setting that allows the shutter function to work,
that is: lift the mirror and open up the shutter when the shutter realease
is pressed, that camera is fit fit for pinhole practice. I assume some
cameras' shutter function may not work if a "real" lens is not installed,
cameras with electronic links between the lens a the body may require to be
set for manual exposure and/or manual focusing.

Hello,
I was asking on friday how to make a pinhole body cap.
I was wondering, do all the mirrors and thing in my SLR make it not work for
pinhole.

Giullermo you are correct. Canon FD mount body caps will work on the
following Canon bodies: the F-1, AE-1, A-1, TX, FT-B. I've accumulated these
bodies over the years and they all work with the pinhole resource body cap
as well as my much cheaper self-made body cap with a zone plate. The Canon
EOS bodycaps are labeled accordingly. Thom

Here are the instructions:

buy bodycap, drill hole in its center, tape pinhole on the cap.

BTW, Canon F body caps are for FD mount bodies, your AE1 uses FD mount, AFAIK.
