I'm sure Marcy's collection of toy cameras has to be worth serious bucks at this point- so I'm expecting a HUGE settlement! Ohhh I dunno John, I am not an original poster for this idea, but.. given your response here, I think you should know a lawsuit naming you is coming forthwith wink . You see, when I read of your activity /experiment , I broke 3 ribs laughing , plus my eyebrows contorted so badly from disbelief at what I read , that plastic surgery will now be required , plus the soda I was drinking at the time, spewed all the monitor, CPU and walls, thereby neccesitating buying a new puter, (I was looking for an excuse to buy one anyhoo ) , a new paint job on the walls . My guess is that the moderators of this discussion group will soon be thinking of putting a disclaimer :WARNING : pinholing can be dangerous to your health and other living things , OR do not try this at home unless supervision is present . Lastly , since I know this post of mine was/is WAY off topic , I just want to part with this : Thanks John , and all, for making me laugh today . DAlfrey PS, have you considered contacting the Pentagon about becoming a secret weapon of mess (sic) destruction , I hear there is a war coming to a neighborhood near you soon .wink With posts like this, am putting some money into BB stocks and BB gun manufacturing smirk Am gonna make a killing, OOPS maybe I shouldnt have said that
RE: [pinhole-discussion] Willarney's BB Idea
Low-tech! Great, I like that. A friend made a blow gun out of 1/2 inch copper pipe and a length of sharpened coat hanger with a cotton ball on the back end as packing. When he tried it out it went through a half inch piece of plywood. = Original Message From Tom Miller tomwmil...@attbi.com = How about using a needle in a blow gun? It would be low-tech, just like so much of the pinhole adventure. -- Tom Chris Peregoy pere...@umbc.edu http://www.pinholeblender.com

I took a 16x11x11 cardboard box (from one of the WAY too many online auction purchases) cut one end off mounted a piece of aluminum foil on the end. I then taped the hell out of it (photoblack+carton+duct) and put it all back together for a firing test. I don't know if the hole that the BB makes is neat enough for a clean pinhole image- I'll have to test that later. Good go -- I was thinking of using thin cardboard rather than foil, as I suspect the bb may tear foil rather than just go through it -- who knows? Re: risks, please refer to the B*y Sc**t boys legal basic guidebook, page, 235, #34 -- don't do anything stupid, ok? I think I'll go put some gold in aqua regia now (don't to this at home, kids! I am assured that this combination may explode, will emit toxic, highly corrosive fumes, and may lead to an IRS audit). -- John Stuart Mill (he's dead, Jim). __ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Well, allright then, my legal name - Bob D. Bobson IV. But instead of money, I only have Snickerdoodles... Good thing I didn't tell you to get the shotgun for a multi-hole pinhole project... That's the good news... now the bad news: 1st, I cut myself with the carton knife I was using (thankfully only once- but it was through the first layer of skin) then, I used the BB gun that has the CO2 cartridge (WAY TOO MUCH POWER) and the BB went through the foil, through the back of the box, bounced off of the workbench and through my glasses I SHOT MY EYE OUT! If I can get some assistance with another test in the morning- I'm hoping I can talk one of my neighbors into performing the firing sequence (while I'm busy in the darkroom). If this works, I'll post some results here: http://www.speakeasy.net/~jlmoore/bbpinhole.htm If none of my neighbors are willing/gullible, then maybe I can talk my attorney into performing this test.
