Pinholeday 2001 was great but these images were not created for gallery
showing. I doubt many could be exhibited. However Pinholeday 2002 is
approaching fast. If we all went out with the goal of a gallery print then the
exhibit could be awesome.

I love looking at the 2001 online Gallery. I think the only thing that
could be better would be to look at the real prints. I want to see an
exhibition of the actual prints as well as an online gallery :)

I want to be able to look at more that one picture at a time - compare
different prints and so on and so on etc, and get a sense of the different
size and physical qualities of each print. Its pretty hard to this
 online.

If a gallery is interested perhaps somebody could curate a selection of
images taken on pinhole day. Could use the net to allow people offer
their prints and have the curator(s) construct a show from the prints
 offered.

I know this is a tall order , but it would be wonderful if it could be
 done.

Dear All,

The WPPD website's 2001 Gallery is a impressive exhibition in itself.
As mentioned below, the idea for art councils to participate in
Pinhole Day by providing access to darkroom facilities and scanners is
a great one and easy to do. The pARTs Gallery in Minneapolis will be
holding a WPPD Open House on the afternoon of April 28 in conjuction
with a workshop that Bill Erickson and I are teaching. (Check the
Related Events page on the Pinhole Day website: the open house will be
listed there in a day or two.) The related events list is an
excellent way for arts groups to let people in their area, and around
the world, learn about the Pinhole Day events they'll be facilitating.
The events can be a great way for WPPD contributors to connect with
local pinholers. At the events page, art groups, galleries and other
folks planning to conduct WPPD-related activities can submit
information about their event to be added to the list.

Hi all,

A lot of great ideas are coming in about pinhole day, and I just wanted to
let you know that the WPPD coordinating team is reading them all and
enjoying all the input. We are giving each comment and suggestion serious
consideration and view an important part of what we do as reflecting the
wishes and aspirations of the members of this list.

One thing that will help us keep track of your suggestions and proposals is
to also post them in the forum at the pinhole visions web site. I don't
intend to discourage any discussion on the list, but for those of you with
strong ideas that will help us do as good a job as possible, please also
post them in the forum so that we can more easily study them and refer to
them over time. The forum address is:

http://www.???/forum/

and the place to post suggestions about pinhole day is in the Pinhole Day
QA forum.

Thanks!

Subject: [pinhole-discussion] wwpd exhibition

 Hi:

I was looking at the web site of one of our local art gallerys. They have
a program called something on sundays where they get people to
participate in some sort of art related project.

I thought this would be an ideal venue for some sort of pinhole day
project. I've asked them if they are interested in doing something on
 this.

I was looking through last years gallery and thought maybe if I get people
making their own pinhole shots that the gallery could exhibit them at some
 point.

It then struck me, a really cool thing would be to make a travelling
exhibition of real pinhole camera day shots. That is to have people
from all over the world to lend/give their pinhole day shots and create
 an exhibition of these.

I've not been involved in the art world for years, I wonder if something
 like this is possible?

I like this idea. I would frame my image from WPPD 2001 and mail it to a
gallery for a show, even for a short term show.. I bet I could get one
of the local galleries here in Baltimore to offer space, as long as it
isn't already committed. Maybe the work travels not like a traditional
traveling show from place to place but from the web to many locations
and all are open on Sunday April 28,
