[Evolution] Bug#487102: Bug#487102: evolution: Lenny Evolution fails to recognize Outlook meeting requests.

Not wanting to expose others email addresses I very carefully changed the sending addresses to @example.com but in such a way that I don't think will affect the result. That's a bit useless. I mean, could you sent me and the bug an outlook meeting request, directly, so I can see what it gives in evo? Hmm... That was exactly what you had asked for. And no I can't actually send you one from myself. I am not an Outlook user. I have no exchange server here. So I can't generate any meeting requests from Outlook. I was using Evolution to receive meeting requests from Outlook / Exchange. But I will ask someone to send you one directly. Expect to get a random meeting request from a random person. Or I will construct one manually for you. Is there some news about this? It seems that during 2.22 time there was a problem when you had the “Prefer plain text” plugin enabled. This should be fixed, but you might want to disable it just to test. And retry in evolution 2.30 so we have recent status. [Evolution] Bug#499220: disagree
Sorry, but I have to disagree about that patch. Current description might maybe be improved, but I don't think adding that kind of precision would help an user. It says that eds manages mail, calendar, addressbook, tasks and memo information, and that's exactly what it does. There's nothing in the desc saying it's specific to the evolution suite, and yes, other processes do use it. No need to change anything there.
