Bug#458549: gdm doesn't yet support USERXSESSIONRC

2008-01-01 Thread Yves-Alexis Perez
Package: gdm
Version: 2.20.2-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

with #411639, X11 now supports loading user environment variables put in
$HOME/.xsessionrc. This is done with
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/40x11-common_xsessionrc. It's a file in
/etc/X11/Xsession.d, so it's sourced by gdm from /etc/gdm/Xsession (wich is
good), but $USERXSESSIONRC is not set in /etc/gdm/Xsession (while it's set in
/etc/X11/Xsession).

It'd be nice if this variable could be set in gdm too.

Attached patch fixes this.

Thanks, and regards.

Package: balsa
Version: 2.3.20-1
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.3

Although balsa allows linking to OpenSSL, libgmime does not and it is
GPL, not LGPL. So, balsa should not link to both gmime and openssl. You
have the usual options, including:

* Ask for upstream author of gmime to allow linking to OpenSSL;
* Stop linking to OpenSSL;
* Try to link to GNU TLS with its OpenSSL API support;
* Port balsa to GNU TLS.

Regards,
Thadeu Cascardo.

Bug#458593: file-roller does not like unace-nonfree

2008-01-01 Thread Luís Picciochi Oliveira
Package: file-roller
Version: 2.20.2-1
Severity: normal

I was not sure whether this bug is related to file-roller or to the
unace-nonfree package... I hope I'm not reporting it to the wrong
place...

When trying to open an .ace file on file-roller, the CPU usage goes up
to 100% and it never seems to end. Using the 'unace' command on a
console works well, though.

Bug#458594: clock-applet disappears if special German characters appear in month

2008-01-01 Thread Armin Fuerst
Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.4.13-6
Severity: important

When clock-applet is displayed in a gnome-panel, display of date is
enabled, LC_TIME=de_AT is set (I guess, any de_ will have the same
effect) and the current month includes special German characters, the
whole clock disappears from the panel.
In Adjust Date Time in the field of the month, (null) is displayed
instead of the month-name.

I'm using Debian etch with all available updates installed, no
backports, no self-compiled software.
