Package: gdal-bin
Version: 1.7.3-4
Severity: normal

gdal_translate crashes on startup, shows following:
---
fedor@bearloga:~$ gdal_translate
gdal_translate: relocation error: /usr/lib/libgdal1.7.0.so.1: symbol
__cxa_pure_virtual, version libmysqlclient_16 not defined in file

My libmysqlclient16 package version is 5.1.49-3.

Probably a dependency or building problem.

After rebuilding gdal from source package the bug gone.
