Bug#842549: Dh_Haskell.sh should respect DH_VERBOSE settings

2016-10-30 Thread Matthias Klose
Package: src:haskell-devscripts
Version: 0.12

I'm trying to debug an internal compiler error (not knowing anything about
haskell), and would like to see the commands being run during the build; however
even Dh_Haskell.sh doesn't respect the DH_VERBOSE settings, and it's not obvious
from the build script, how ghc is invoked, so that you can re-run the command in
question.

I don't think so. For your library -dev packages you don't have any such
dependencies.

yes.

[I was doing a transition (icu 55 to 57), and investigating some build failures
with link failures, some missing icu55 symbols. I didn't find the appropriate
haskell package immediately, because it neither has a dependency on the icu
runtime library or a Built-Using attribute ]

Seen with haskell-text-icu, but it looks like there are no Built-Using
attributes for any C library used for many packages. Therefore filing this
isssue on a package which is maintained by the debian haskell maintainers. Feel
free to clone, reassign, ...
