Bug#1040475: Broken symlinks cause Apache Directory Server to not work at all out-of-the-box

I believe the symlink problem is fixed in version 2.0.0~M26-2 but I'd like to
test the apacheds server component more before I'm going to close this bug
report.

This still seems better for now than the current situation, so even if we
do something else later I'd like to get the wheels turning on this. I
sent a revised text, as it will have you name on it are you happy with it?
