The update site has also the plugin org.eclipse.compare_3.1.1.jar, which

Hmm, I installed both plugins(btw great additions) without problems.
Unfortunately, the bugzilla plugin eats all my cpu power if it tries

Better try the -clean option instead of removing the ~/.eclipse folder.

libgnujaxp-java needed ?

2005-12-20 Thread Wolfgang Baer

Hi all,

we got two bug reports against libgnujaxp-java today. As they are clearly
upstream things I wondered if its still developed as an external package.

As far as I know its fully merged into gnu classpath. Following cp-patches list
it seems further development is only done there. As the jaxp stuff should
be now provided by all free runtimes its maybe time to work towards
removal of this package.

Comments ?

I have CCed Chris who maintained GNU JAXP before we completely
integrated it into GNU Classpath.

Yes, all runtimes based on GNU Classpath (kaffe, cacao, jamvm, gcj,
jikesrvm, etc) should have the GNU JAXP provider as standard component.
It could still be useful for older runtimes as add-on. But it might be
more productive to upgrade those setups since a lot of new functionality
and bug fixes (besides the jaxp component) went into all the runtimes. I
don't believe there really is any plan to do any more separate releases.
Chris?

Cheers,

Mark

Bug#344187: libgnujaxp-java: Doesn't accept relative URI as SystemID in entities

2005-12-20 Thread Wolfgang Baer

Hi Jiri,

Jiri Palecek wrote:

There is a MalformedURLException when using relative URI for

The relative URI indeed isn't valid URL, however the XML 1.0
standard allows URI refernces as SystemIDs.

Do you have or can make a simple testcase we can use to forward
the problem upstream ? Same would be nice for the other bug you
reported (#344183).

GnuJaxp is now fully merged into GNU classpath so we currently
check if there will be separate releases as external package in the
future. If you can provide testcases I would like to test against
GNU classpath CVS to see if it might be fixed already.

Thanks for using debian,
Wolfgang
