# Commented for now because the license differs in the official distribution

# diff -u $*-jdk/LICENSE $*-jdk/jre/LICENSE

and later:

Package sun-java6-jdk on sid/amd64 lags behind sid/i386 quite a bit now. That's
a pity, since the current version of Sun Java has quite a list of security
fixes compared to the package in sid/amd64.

I'm tracking sun-java6-jdk from unstable on a system with lenny/amd64
installed, to have security support for the package (OpenJDK is currently no
option, unfortunately).

Will there be further development of sun-java6-jdk on amd64?

Best Regards,
Mirko

sun-java6 override disparity

2010-04-19 Thread Archive Administrator
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

ia32-sun-java6-bin_6.20-dlj-1_amd64.deb: package says section is non-free/java,
override says non-free/libs.
sun-java6-plugin_6.20-dlj-1_amd64.deb: package says section is non-free/web,
override says non-free/java.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please file a bug against ftp.debian.org and
explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we
won't be able to deal with your request due to missing information.

Please make sure that the subject of the bug you file follows the
following format:

Subject: override: BINARY1:section/priority, [...], BINARYX:section/priority

Include the justification for the change in the body of the mail please.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you already filed a bug
and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until
then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.]

I think it is too early to tag it pending. While we got the updated
sources, it does not build yet. Also, neither of its dependencies (emf
and rse) are uploaded to the archive yet.

Bug#578420: libgeronimo-activation-1.1-spec-java: long description no sentence

2010-04-19 Thread Gerfried Fuchs
Package: libgeronimo-activation-1.1-spec-java
Version: 1.0.2-1
Severity: minor

Hi!

It would be nice if the long description of your packages could consist
of full sentences[1]. The long description is just a copy of the short
description with the bracket terms added, which doesn't give more
insight.

So long, and thanks for your efforts for Debian nevertheless!

You do - all jars embed a manifest, the upstream build system may embed more
data. extract META-INF/MANIFEST.MF from your jar files (or send me the jars)

Bug#578378: sun-java6 packaging modifies files, which is not allowed by the license

As I wrote in my email, there is no manifest to share! jh_manifest only
gets called because I'm using CDBS, I have no debian/manifest or
debian/.manifest file.

Nevertheless, one thing I forgot to mentioned and which I'm not sure
about, but it seemed to me that the error appearance did depend on the
svn-buildpackage command line: with --svn-dont-purge I got the error, but
not without this option, and then I changed something to the content of
the debian/ directory, and I always got the error.
I know it sounds stupid, and I have no explanation, but that's what I
experienced.

bsh override disparity

2010-04-19 Thread Archive Administrator
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

bsh_2.0b4-11_all.deb: package says section is java, override says devel.

Bug#578361: sun-java6-jdk (amd64): outdated version with security vulnerabilities

2010-04-19 Thread Gebauer, Mirko (FRA-MRM)
Package: sun-java6-jdk
Version: 6-17-1
Severity: serious
Tags: security

Package sun-java6-jdk on sid/amd64 lags behind sid/i386 quite a bit now. That's
a pity, since the current version of Sun Java has quite a list of security
fixes compared to the package in sid/amd64.

I'm tracking sun-java6-jdk from unstable on a system with lenny/amd64
installed, to have security support for the package (OpenJDK is currently no
option, unfortunately).

Will there be further development of sun-java6-jdk on amd64?

Best Regards,
Mirko
