Bug#685075: java-package: plugin not found when trying to build jdk7u6

Bug#684935: Removed package(s) from unstable
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: flute-1.3-jfree | 20061107-8 | source libflute-1.3-jfree-java | 20061107-8 | all libflute-1.3-jfree-java-doc | 20061107-8 | all --- Reason --- ROM; Replaced by flute package -- Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next dinstall run at the earliest. Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is really needed, please contact them if this should be the case. We try to close Bugs which have been reported against this package automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they where closed correctly or should have been re-assign to another package. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 684...@bugs.debian.org. Bug#685082: debconf abuse
Package: java-package Version: 0.50 Severity: normal Tags: l10n Hi, Please, drop the useless debconf note that duplicates information already available in the package description, break the installation workflow (because it needs the user to acknowledge the note), and is not even translatable while many team are aiming at fully translated debconf screens for Wheezy. http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/best-pkging-practices.html#s6.5.1 Thanks in advance for considering fixing it in Wheezy: simply dropping this screen can be considered as a “documentation fix” and thus be granted a freeze exception by the release team. Re: make-jpkg fails
Hello, I'm following this guide http://wiki.debian.org/JavaPackage I'm using debian squeeze I have no problem with : /apt-get install java-package/ But when executing one of this command with the archives I retrieved on the oracle website : /make-jpkg jre-7u6-linux-i586.tar.gz make-jpkg jdk-7u6-linux-i586.tar.gz make-jpkg jre-6u34-linux-i586.bin make-jpkg jdk-6u34-linux-i586.bin/ I have tons of messages like this : /dpkg-shlibdeps : warning: Can't extract name and version from library name .../ And finally the process always stop with this error : /Undefined subroutine main::get_buildoption called at /usr/bin/dh_builddeb line 69./ Any idea of what I am missing ? /make-jpkg/ was written in perl, should I install any specific perl module ? Adam For information the error was generated because I had an outdated version of debhelper.
