Bug#680468: netbeans still build-depends on mingw32

2014-05-26 Thread Stephen Kitt
Control: reopen -1

Hi,

Thanks for fixing this in libnb-platform18-java. Given that this is part of a
tracking bug for mingw32's removal, I'm reopening the bug since netbeans
itself still build-depends on mingw32; from my perspective as long as that
remains the case the bug is still an issue.

Regards,

Stephen

Package: visualvm
Version: 1.3.3-2
Severity: normal

When I first started jvisualvm, I was presented with an EULA dialog
telling me I have to accept the agreement to start VisualVM.

But, to quote GPLv2:

Activities other than copying, distribution and modification are not
covered by this License; they are outside its scope. The act of
running the Program is not restricted…

and, of course:

5. You are not required to accept this License, since you have not
signed it. However, nothing else grants you permission to modify or
distribute the Program or its derivative works. These actions are
prohibited by law if you do not accept this License. Therefore, by
modifying or distributing the Program (or any work based on the
Program), you indicate your acceptance of this License to do so, and
all its terms and conditions for copying, distributing or modifying
the Program or works based on it.

I think whoever decided to put the GPL in a EULA box didn't actually
read the GPL before hitting 'I Accept'...

Dear Maintainer,

Please consider packaging newer version of visualvm. 1.3.5 has been
released in November 2012 and I found it much faster then currently packaged
1.3.3.

If required, I can help with packaging.

java-access-bridge REMOVED from testing

2014-05-26 Thread Debian testing watch
FYI: The status of the java-access-bridge source package
in Debian's testing distribution has changed.

  Previous version: 1.26.2-9
  Current version: (not in testing)
  Hint: Package not in unstable

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals.

This email is automatically generated once a day. As the installation of
new packages into testing happens multiple times a day you will receive
later changes on the next day.

This bug is already fixed but it was preventing groovy >= 1.8.6-3 to
enter testing, so I'm marking it as done.

Bug#744226: Removed package(s) from unstable

2014-05-26 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

libcommons-collections-java | 2.1.1-11 | source, all
libcommons-collections-java-doc | 2.1.1-11 | all

--- Reason ---
ROM;, Replaced by libcommons-collections3-java
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 744...@bugs.debian.org.

The full log for this bug can be viewed at https://bugs.debian.org/744226

This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is
a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing
