Hello,

while looking up open security issues in glassfish I noticed that the
current version is no longer supported upstream (according to
http://www.oracle.com/us/support/library/lifetime-support-middleware-069163.pdf).

You already have open security issues that nobody knows how to fix so
it's clearly not acceptable to release this version in jessie:
https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/source-package/glassfish

Please consider packaging version 4.x which seems to be mentionned
on the upstream homepage:
https://glassfish.java.net/download.html

Regards,

Bug#769682: (no subject)

2014-11-15 Thread root
Subject: jenkins-tomcat: Secure and HttpOnly flags are not set for cookies with
Jenkins on Tomcat
Package: jenkins-tomcat
Version: 1.565.3-2.1
Severity: grave
Tags: security

Dear Maintainer,

The Jenkins currently shipped with Debian doesn't correctly set the HttpOnly and
Secure options on session cookies.

The first option prohibits the cookies to be read by scripts, thus preventing
XSS scripts vulnerabilities from stealing sessions.
The second option prohibits the session cookie to be sent over clear HTTP
connection,
thus preventing malvolent users to steal session cookie while redirecting users
to
HTTP access.

There is already an upstream bug for this problem located at this url:
https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-25019
with a proposed fix that only adresses the HttpOnly issue for Tomcat.

The problem is reported in Tomcat log with the following lines:

The other two look much the same

This seems like some kind of screwup related to specifying a specific and old
symbol version that doesn't exist on more recent ports but i'm not an expert.

Or did this happen with the fixed gluegen2 (2.2.4-2)?

Bug#769682: Secure and HttpOnly flags are not set for cookies with Jenkins on Tomcat

2014-11-15 Thread Florian Weimer
There is already an upstream bug for this problem located at this url:
 https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-25019
with a proposed fix that only adresses the HttpOnly issue for Tomcat.

Why isn't the missing “secure” flag a Tomcat configuration issue?

Bug#769693: Please giveback libjogl2-java

The packages you specified are already available (arch:all, but even -jni is
there already), so the dep-wait is not necessary.

Right; I'm just never sure if/when chroots on the buildds get
updated.

I gave the package back on the architectures you requested.

Thanks!

Can you please gb libjogl2-java on those architectures? Something
like (apologies if I got the syntax wrong):

 gb libjogl2-java_2.2.4+dfsg-1 . arm64 ppc64el s390x
 dw libjogl2-java_2.2.4+dfsg-1 . arm64 ppc64el s390x . -m

I gave the package back on the architectures you requested.

Kind regards and thanks
Philipp Kern

Right; I'm just never sure if/when chroots on the buildds get
 updated.

Sadly a dep-wait would not help here, as it's server-side. But then it only
matters if the package is part of the base build chroot (like perl, or
debhelper, or glibc). In that case there's another magic bit (extra-depends)
that temporarily adds more stringent dependencies to the build-depends list.

Kind regards
Philipp Kern

Control: retitle -1 libjogl2-java: FTBFS on arm64

https://buildd.debian.org/status/logs.php?pkg=libjogl2-javaver=2.2.4%2Bdfsg-1

ppc64el and s390x built.

arm64 fails but AFAICS differently than before. My assumptions are
that
- gluegen2/#769003 is ok
- libjogl2-java has a different problem on arm64

This probably needs some deeper Java knowledge ...

Cheers,
gregor
