squeeze update of libspring-2.5-java?
[ CC Damien Raude-Morvan draz...@debian.org who handled the last security upload ] Hello dear maintainer(s), the Debian LTS team would like to fix the security issues which are currently open in the Squeeze version of libspring-2.5-java (this source package only exists in squeeze currently): https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2011-3923 Would you like to take care of this yourself? We are still understaffed so any help is always highly appreciated. If yes, please follow the workflow we have defined here: http://wiki.debian.org/LTS/Development If that workflow is a burden to you, feel free to just prepare an updated source package and send it to debian-...@lists.debian.org (via a debdiff, or with an URL pointing to the the source package, or even with a pointer to your packaging repository), and the members of the LTS team will take care of the rest. Indicate clearly whether you have tested the updated package or not. If you don't want to take care of this update, it's not a problem, we will do our best with your package. Just let us know whether you would like to review and/or test the updated package before it gets released. Thank you very much. Raphaël Hertzog, on behalf of the Debian LTS team. security update of commons-httpclient?
Hello dear maintainer(s), the Debian LTS team would like to fix the security issues which are currently open in the Squeeze version of your commons-httpclient: https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2012-6153 It would be nice if you could take care of this update as the package is not high enough on our priority list and we seem to never manage to find the time. And the same seems to apply for the stable security team since this issue is still open in all releases despite a friendly ping from Moritz last december. Yet the package seems to be relatively important in the java world since it's a reverse dependency of quite a few other packages... So it would be nice to have some action going. I don't want to raise the severity to serious at this point of the release but it's not good for Debian to leave security issues unattended for so long. So can someone take the responsibility to provide fixed packages for our releases? I have included Alberto Fernández Martínez in copy since he's the last person having uploaded the package in... 2012! Thank you in advance! Raphaël Hertzog, on behalf of the Debian LTS team. PS: If you want to handle the upload to squeeze-lts by yourself, please follow the instructions here: http://wiki.debian.org/LTS/Development -- Raphaël Hertzog ◈ Debian Developer Support Debian LTS: http://www.freexian.com/services/debian-lts.html Learn to master Debian: http://debian-handbook.info/get/ __ This is the maintainer address of Debian's Java team http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers. Bug#779107: libgpars-groovy-java: FTBFS due to missing build dependency libjsr166y-java
Source: libgpars-groovy-java Version: 1.2.1-1 Severity: serious Hi, I have just discovered that libgpars-groovy-java 1.2.1-1 in unstable fails to build from source because one of its build-dependencies libjsr166y-java (1.7.0-1) is missing in unstable. Bug#779112: libjnr-constants-java, libconstantine-java: error when trying to install together
Package: libjnr-constants-java,libconstantine-java Severity: serious User: trei...@debian.org Usertags: edos-file-overwrite Architecture: amd64 Distribution: sid + experimental Hi, automatic installation tests of packages that share a file and at the same time do not conflict by their package dependency relationships has detected the following problem: Selecting previously unselected package libconstantine-java. Preparing to unpack .../libconstantine-java_0.8.5-1_all.deb ... Unpacking libconstantine-java (0.8.5-1) ... dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/libconstantine-java_0.8.5-1_all.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/share/java/jnr-constants.jar', which is also in package libjnr-constants-java 0.8.6-2 dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/libconstantine-java_0.8.5-1_all.deb This is a serious bug as it makes installation fail, and violates sections 7.6.1 and 10.1 of the policy. An optimal solution would consist in only one of the packages installing that file, and renaming or removing the file in the other package. Depending on the circumstances you might also consider Replace relations or file diversions. If the conflicting situation cannot be resolved then, as a last resort, the two packages have to declare a mutual Conflict. Please take into account that Replaces, Conflicts and diversions should only be used when packages provide different implementations for the same functionality. Here is a list of files that are known to be shared by both packages (according to the Contents file for sid/amd64, which may be slightly out of sync): usr/share/java/constantine.jar usr/share/java/jnr-constants.jar usr/share/java/libconstantine.jar usr/share/maven-repo/com/github/jnr/jnr-constants/debian/jnr-constants-debian.jar usr/share/maven-repo/com/github/jnr/jnr-constants/debian/jnr-constants-debian.pom This bug is assigned to both packages. If you, the maintainers of the two packages in question, have agreed on which of the packages will resolve the problem please reassign the bug to that package. You may also register in the BTS that the other package is affected by the bug. Bug#779107: libgpars-groovy-java: FTBFS due to missing build dependency libjsr166y-java
owner 779107 ! thanks On Tue, Feb 24, 2015 at 05:17:30PM +0100, Markus Koschany wrote: Source: libgpars-groovy-java Version: 1.2.1-1 Severity: serious Hi, I have just discovered that libgpars-groovy-java 1.2.1-1 in unstable fails to build from source because one of its build-dependencies libjsr166y-java (1.7.0-1) is missing in unstable. It seems it ought to be uploaded to unstable at some time, but perhaps it is better to do this after the freeze ends. Thanks for reporting it. I wonder why a new upstream release of gpars was uploaded to unstable during the freeze and how it was built in the first place. Anyway, you are correct Markus, the dependency on that libjsr166y-java version is needed and I believe it's better to fix this in unstable after the freeze ends.
