I had success hacking /etc/sysctl.d/bindv6only.conf . I have no idea how to get to any Sun Java Control Panel - Java - View - User - Runtime Paremeters that you are talking about. And even if I did, I have to make this change to several computers, so you had better tell me what file to stick the -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true into, so I can propagate the file instead of having to play with some interactive thing. __ This is the maintainer address of Debian's Java team http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers.
