[Pkg-javascript-devel] Bug#797607: Removed package(s) from unstable

2015-08-31 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

libjs-requirejs |2.1.9-1 | source, all

--- Reason ---
ROM; duplicate package
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 797...@bugs.debian.org.

The full log for this bug can be viewed at https://bugs.debian.org/797607

This message was generated automatically; if you believe that there is
a problem with it please contact the archive administrators by mailing
ftpmas...@ftp-master.debian.org.

This has no relation with "FTBFS with glibc-2.21 and gcc-5".

[Pkg-javascript-devel] Bug#797545: libv8-3.14-dev: better fix for REPLACE_INVALID_UTF8

2015-08-31 Thread Ximin Luo
Package: libv8-3.14-dev
Version: 3.14.5.8-10
Severity: normal

Hi,

It's not so clear that the recent workaround for REPLACE_INVALID_UTF8 is
such a good idea. In general, this sort of thing has the potential to lead
to security problems.

nodejs themselves manually patched their bundeled version of v8 specifically
for this bug, see:

https://github.com/nodejs/node/commits/v0.10.38-release/deps/v8/include/v8.h

which points to:

https://github.com/nodejs/node/commit/881ac26f27f4ac9585d66c8d8a67d5b246a23d1b#diff-42f385dff7890b3c213d9699bcc350cc

We should probably import this, instead of the current "fix".

2015-08-31 Thread Gianfranco Costamagna
Control: owner -1 !

Hi Julien, lets review.

1) changelog, please set target to unstable and refresh the timestamp
2) rules: please remove the newlines after the dh call (oh here we are *really*
nitpicking)

well, the only issue is the changelog, please fix and I'll do some testing on a
built package :)

cheers,

G.
