Dato,

No worries. I fully understand the issues behind the resources behind this.

However, in the longer term if you want debian-release to be on the critical
path for library transitions then you need a solution that is scalable. Other
DDs won't be as patient.

Re: [Pkg-kde-extras] library transition proposal exiv2/ libexiv2-5

2009-04-29 Thread Adeodato Simó
+ Mark Purcell (Fri, 24 Apr 2009 09:30:26 +1000):

 Dato,

Hello, Mark.

 Any news?

I'm awfully sorry for the embarrassing delay: I never seemed to find the
time to sit down to look at this.

Theoretically speaking, the exiv2 transition will have to go together
with KDE4 because of gwenview. However, I'm open to untying them if KDE4
would block exiv2 from migrating.

Thanks a lot for your patience and cooperation, and let us know when you
have uploaded to unstable.

Hi,

there's a new version available, with some nice features:
- an organize tool that very flexibly organizes your images based on tags
- the ability to access manufacturer-specific non-standard exif data through a
standard interface

Thanks,
