[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#806500: Bug#884652: quassel-client: connection password stored in plan Ascii in a chmod 644 file

Well, that's the unfortunate state of security on the Linux desktop (and other major desktop OSes). Largely there is no privilege separation between applications. They all run in the same context so they can't really keep secrets from each other. Technologies like Flatpak and Snappy are trying to solve this by sandboxing applications [0]. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#814278: quassel-data contains a far outdated version of inxi

There are a few possible > solutions: > * simply delete the script > * let quassel-data depend on inxi and link to inxi which is packaged in debian Imho a dependency on inxi is way too strong. Especially considering that inxi pulls in quite a lot of packages. Adding inxi to Suggests and creating a symlink to inxi on the other hand seems reasonable to me. That way /sysinfo will work once you manually install inxi. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#805463: quassel-client: missing dependancy to phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer

There is no reason why quassel would need a specific backend. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#597719: [kchmviewer] must depend on okular-extra-backends
okular-extra-backends seems to be only necessary when you use the the KHTMLPart widget which is not the default. IMHO kchmviewer should recommend okular-extra-backends instead of depending on it. ___ pkg-kde-extras mailing list pkg-kde-extras@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-extras

Package: skrooge Version: 0.7.0-1 Severity: important From looking at the source code skrooge can't work without the QSQLITE plugin, so it should depend on libqt4-sql-sqlite. ___ pkg-kde-extras mailing list pkg-kde-extras@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-extras

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#581498: Recommend www-browser instead of custom browser list
Package: kile Version: 1:2.1.0~svn1112278beta4-1 Severity: minor Currently kile recommends konqueror | iceweasel but I don't think kile specifically needs these browsers. So instead it should just recommend the virtual package www-browser. ___ pkg-kde-extras mailing list pkg-kde-extras@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-extras
