[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#586255: kphotoalbum: Invalid link for introductory videos

2010-07-03 Thread Jesper K. Pedersen
Indeed that is a pretty stupid bug. When reordered the home page recently,
and obviously forgot to update the sources. They have been updated now.

Cheers
Jesper.

| I just read a comment suggesting kphotoalbum. I installed it and

|
| Its not nice when the (strongly suggested) introduction fails. Maybe
| you can package the videos in a -tutorial package and then locally
| reference it instead of relaying on an external web site?

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#528410: kphotoalbum's suggests (mplayerthumbs) not in debian

2009-05-12 Thread Jesper K. Pedersen
Personally I've no experience with Debian. I compiled it myself, but it would
indeed be a great thing if the debian package would depend on this, and there
was a package for it.

| Hi,

| First of all, thanks a ton for packaging the new kphotoalbum packages. I

|
| You've put mplayerthumbs in Suggests for kphotoalbum, but there is no

| Or is it going to stay like that ?

| This isn't actually a bug.
|
| That's not a bug, that's a feature ;)
|
| kphotoalbum is currently a KDE3 application
and is in the process of
| being ported to KDE4.
|
| I'm glad to know it - it's quite a nice piece
of software and I would

|
| Until then I would imagine you need to
decide which you wish to have
| kipi0 or kipi6 applications.
|
| But you can make life somewhat easier for
users during transition time.
| I've found that only conflicting files in
libkipi0 and libikipi6 are icons.
| Those icons are looking the same. So, for
limited period of time (until
| libkipi0 application are ported to KDE4) icons
from libkipi0 could be
| removed and libkipi0 could depend on libkipi6.
| Well, I know it's a little dirty hack, but I
believe it could be used
| for some time.
|
| Best regards
| Artur
