[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#715821: plasma-widget-networkmanagement: Should not ask for wallet access when no password is used
Control: reassign -1 network-manager 0.9.10.0-1 Hi, I just tested in Jessie, and the problem exist here too. I've poked the upstream bug too, where it was said that this should be fixed in network-manager, not the plasma widget, but I have not quite understood why. If so, perhaps it should be reassigned? Sounds like the best possible action. Btw: Why is this bug tagged 'fixed-upstream'? Upstream tagged the bug upstream (meaning network-manager here). I'm not sure if it's a case considered by bts-link, but it makes sense. Thanks, -- There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and BSD. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#715821: plasma-widget-networkmanagement: Should not ask for wallet access when no password is used
Am 10.07.2013 20:37, schrieb Petter Reinholdtsen: Package: plasma-widget-networkmanagement Version: 0.9.0.3-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, when using the KDE plasma widget to connect to a open wifi network (ie. one without any password), the connection work just fine, but as the setup is done and I ask to connect, a popup dialog show up and ask me to configure the KDE wallet. I do not use the KDE wallet, and there is no password involved, so I have to press 'abort' every time. This get annoying after a while. Please change the widget to not try to activate the kde wallet if there is no password involved when connecting to a wifi network. This problem exist in Squeeze too, in plasma-widget-networkmanagement version 0.1~svn1141976-1. Since this isn't a Debian specific issue, please file it upstream and report back with the bug reference so I can link it.
