Beware that above only ensures the autoreconf rule gets invoked after
post-patches, not that it gets invoked before other later rules, which
most likely you should ensure too.

This is where dh-autoreconf places it. Unfortunately, the tool doesn't
work as described, it still leaves the usual autotools files in a
changed state after the clean rule.

the files on clean, and dpkg-source will ignore them. The kannel-sqlbox
approach is better: moving files out of the way pre-build and restore
them on clean (which is what we do in csound too).

That's what I did now. Looks good to me.

Looks good to me too. Uploaded.

Looks like the orig.tar.gz in the archive (dating back to 2006) was
repackaged or re-compressed. However, I've diffed the current
version against the one that was used for 1.2-1. No changes, so they are
basically the same archives (content-wise).

Gah, I'll try again, with the tarball in the archive. I hope this makes
the upload go past the bogus key not found error. However, I think maybe
the pristine-tar data should be fixed to match what we have in the archive?

Bug#589689: transition to libjack-jackd2-0 breaks many packages

2010-07-19 Thread Pedro R
Package: jackd2
Severity: grave
Tags: sid
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

the recent transition to jackd2 causes a mess in my system.
I don't want to downgrade to jackd2. After being forced to use it for a couple
of months, I find it is
much more reliable.

If I try to install jackd2 by hand, it forces me to uninstall jackd1 plus loads
of packages, including
mplayer, aqualung, alsaplayer, gstreamer-plugins, libpurple, pidgin, libxine,
xine-ui, vdr plugins
and many others.

Regards,
Pedro
