Hello,
Please consider shipping audioscrobbler plugin again.
BTW, I've already seen the comment for other bugs:

Sorry, the scrobbler plugin has been removed from 2.3-1 since it proved
unreliable.

and I would like to know some more details. I see only one bug proving it:
#480268. It contains only two merit feedbacks and other people (including
me) report that this plugin works for them.

Artur

Hi.

It seems that audacious-plugins-extra has some infrequently used
plugins, with one notable exception: the audioscrobbler/last.fm plugin.

Please, move the scrobbler plugin from a-p-extra to a-p. This way,
systems that need a small footprint that opt to use audacious as the
music player of choice.

Thanks, Rogério Brito.

Hi!

Thanks for maintaining audacious: version 2.3-2, which has recently
migrated into testing, fixes many issues!:-)

I noticed a regression, though.

As discussed in bug #500081, I set Time Remaining for the timer.

When playing an Internet radio stream, audacious used to show
the elapsed time, regardless of the timer mode setting, since the
remaining time cannot be computed for a stream (which is virtually
never-ending).

With version 2.3-2, this behavior changed.

Now, with the timer set to Time Remaining, audacious shows
meaningless timer values (such as --4:-0, --2:-3, and similar)
while playing Internet radio streams.

Please restore the previous behavior, that is to say:

  * when playing streams, always show the elapsed time

  * when playing local audio files, show the remaining time or the
elapsed time, depending on the user configuration (timer_mode).

Audacious (audacious-plugins) does not include a output plugin for RoarAudio.
Current upstream code the plugin.

The plugin package should maybe add a Suggest or Recommends to the virtual
roaraudio-server package.

When the payback is paused, the playback loop spins uninterrupted, and
eats 100% CPU. This patch adds a call to g_usleep() during pause to
lower the CPU load.

Hi!

If I try to edit the track information of an ogg file, the content of the
field year will not be displayed, even if the field is set. I can add
a date and save it, but if I reload the track information, the field is
empty again.

ogginfo, however, shows the new the content of the date field.

If I try to edit the track information of a flac file, I can only change
the genre. But I can't save the changes, because the Save button is
greyed and not usable. Yes, I have write permission.

Shade and sweet water!

Stephan

Bug#608391: vlc looks for VAAPI libraries in wrong directory

2010-12-30 Thread Anton Martchukov
Package: vlc
Version: 1.1.5-3
Severity: normal

Thanks for enabling VAAPI support in VLC debian package. It works, but
not out of the box for me. Not sure if it is VLC or xvba-va-driver
package error though.

I use ATI fglrx and it provides fglrx_drv_video.so library as part of
Debian package xvba-va-driver package.

It is unpacked to:

/usr/lib/va/drivers/fglrx_drv_video.so

However when I enable hardware video acceleration support in VLS it
tries to looks for this library in

/usr/lib/dri/fglrx_drv_video.so

that is not where it is in Debian.

I had to do

ln -s /usr/lib/va/drivers/fglrx_drv_video.so /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_drv_video.so

to make the acceleration work.

new version of milkytracker

2010-12-30 Thread Alessandro Ghedini
Hi all,
in the last couple of days I worked to package the new upstream version
of milkytracker.

Can someone please test and review it? You can find everything on git [0].

Thanks

Bug#608391: vlc looks for VAAPI libraries in wrong directory

2010-12-30 Thread Christophe Mutricy
retitle 608391 VAAPI driver installed in wrong directory
reassign 608391 xvba-va-driver
thanks

Hello

Le Thu 30 Dec 10 à 17:16 +0300, Anton Martchukov a écrit :
I use ATI fglrx and it provides fglrx_drv_video.so library as part of
 Debian package xvba-va-driver package.

 It is unpacked to:

 /usr/lib/va/drivers/fglrx_drv_video.so

However when I enable hardware video acceleration support in VLS it
tries to looks for this library in

 /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_drv_video.so

The file lists of libva1 and i965-va-driver suggest /usr/lib/dri/

http://packages.debian.org/experimental/i386/libva1/filelist
http://packages.debian.org/experimental/i386/i965-va-driver/filelist

So it look like a lack of coordination between their respective
maintainer. Hence i re-allocate this bug to xvba-va-driver

Is there a special reason this package does not use any packaging helper?

I suggest we only drop the control.in if noone use the .in file or it
 annoys someone.

I see no big problem in some of us editing the control file directly -
the nuissence of sync'ing changes there to the .in file is shadowed by
the benefit of dependency semi-autoresolving IMO.

(please do edit the .in file rather than the control file if you want to
help minimize work for everyone, though)

Ok, I hope its alright with everyone, I removed the control.in. I can
see using automatic build-depends generation on a package with complex
Build-Depends, but this one is really simple, and I think the
Build-Depends will rarely change, if ever.

From my experience, build products should not be in git (i.e. the
'control' file generated using 'control.in'). Since that doesn't seem
possible for 'control', I think we'll be better off by simplifying to a
static 'control'.
