Bug#673284: morituri: support releases with multiple mediums
Package: morituri Version: 0.1.2-2 Coin, Ripping releases with multiple medium is broken, see: http://thomas.apestaart.org/morituri/trac/ticket/67 As this is not a rare situation and the main goal of this program, i do not consider this a wish but a bug (thus the severity). Unfortunately, the next version is probably not coming soon. This bug was closed 4 months ago, not so much activity recently, and there is still much to do: http://thomas.apestaart.org/morituri/trac/query?group=statusmilestone=0.1.3 Moreover, there is no way to properly solve the situation using python-musicbrainz2 because the new MusicBrainZ's API is necessary to compute which tracks are in the selected medium. I made a patch to work around this problem. For the first and last medium the track offset can be guessed, and in all other cases the user is asked to manually enter the track offset. I'm not a Python developper, so my patch is probably not the most beautiful ever, but it seems to work nicely. I think applying this patch would be nice for Wheezy, because the next version will clearly not be ready for it. When the next version is released, this patch would be obsolete and you'd just have to remove it, so there should be no maintenance work. Bug#673285: morituri: let user choose the right release
Package: morituri Version: 0.1.2-2 Tags: patch Coin, Using the same rational as #673284, i think morituri arbitrarily choosing a release when the medium appears in multiple releases, is a bug. It leads to unwanted artist/album/tracks names when ripping, and maybe other consequences. I made a patch asking the user which release is the right one. Bug#673333: vlc: logic for window position is broken: window is sometimes partly off-screen
Package: vlc Version: 2.0.1-4+b2 Severity: normal VLC's logic for the window position is broken, leading to a window that is sometimes partly off-screen. Here's a way to reproduce the problem: 1. Make sure you have a long playlist open. 2. Make sure View → Docked Playlist is ticked. 3. Show the playlist (if not already done). 4. Maximize the window height. 5. No longer show the playlist (Ctrl-L). 6. Reduce the window height. 7. Show the playlist (Ctrl-L). → The window height is automatically increased and the window can be partly off-screen. (A) 8. No longer show the playlist (Ctrl-L). 9. Move the window upward or downward. 10. Show the playlist (Ctrl-L). → The window height is automatically increased and the window can be partly off-screen. (B) Compared to (A), the window position has changed in the same way the reduced window has changed in (9). -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages vlc depends on: ii libaa11.4p5-39 ii libavcodec53 6:0.8.2-2 ii libavutil51 6:0.8.2-2 ii libc6 2.13-32 ii libfreetype6 2.4.9-1 ii libfribidi0 0.19.2-3 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.0-8 ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 8.0.2-2 ii libice6 2:1.0.8-2 ii libqtcore44:4.8.1-1 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.1-1 ii libsdl-image1.2 1.2.12-2 ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.15-3 ii libsm62:1.2.1-2 ii libstdc++64.7.0-8 ii libtar0 1.2.11-8 ii libva-x11-1 1.0.15-4 ii libva11.0.15-4 ii libvlccore5 2.0.1-4+b2 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.99.901-2 ii libxcb-composite0 1.8.1-1 ii libxcb-keysyms1 0.3.8-1 ii libxcb-randr0 1.8.1-1 ii libxcb-render01.8.1-1 ii libxcb-shape0 1.8.1-1 ii libxcb-shm0 1.8.1-1 ii libxcb-xfixes01.8.1-1 ii libxcb-xv01.8.1-1 ii libxcb1 1.8.1-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.1-2 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.2-1 ii libxpm4 1:3.5.10-1 ii ttf-freefont 20100919-1 ii vlc-nox 2.0.1-4+b2 ii zlib1g1:1.2.7.dfsg-1 Versions of packages vlc recommends: ii vlc-plugin-notify none ii vlc-plugin-pulse 2.0.1-4+b2 ii xdg-utils 1.1.0~rc1+git20111210-6 Versions of packages vlc suggests: ii videolan-doc 20070626-1 -- no debconf information ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
