Yes, but the key is the directory existence test before doing the
autoloads etc. If removed but not purged then the package-dir doesn't
 exist.

Sorry, I copy-pasted the wrong thing:

 (let ((package-dir (concat /usr/share/

I am trying to import some DirectX models, from .x files, using the default
importer (File - import - DirectX)

The console output is correct, and the script seems to run without errors;
however, no mesh is imported into my 3D window. I am attatching one of the
files I want to import.

This is my console output:

A buffer overflow has been found in the args parsing of blenderplayer.
This is a minor security problem, as it would need to trick someone
into playing a file with really quite noticably manipulated file names,
but has been assigned CAN-2005-3151 by MITRE anyway. A demo exploit
is available at http://www.securiteam.com/exploits/5BP0T2KGVA.html

Personally, I think this might be gone, but I will leave this up to
you guys. Here is what I found in some tests with the exploit code.

Looking at the shell code, it seems to ultimately end in /bin/sh, so
I would assume it give me a shell upon successful invocation. While I
was never able to get a sh shell, I did notice some versions would
 give telltale output.

So it seems that despite not being able to get an sh shell (cpu NX
protection perhaps?), the suspicious errors (no error in 2.37a, and
core dumps in the others), that the problem seems to be gone (no core
dumps or buss errors) in 2.62 release and up (including the latest svn
 revision).

If need be, I can probably poke around and try find the revisions this
was fixed, if you need to cheery pick the patch for this bug for the

Hi Edwin!

Could you possibly test if actual blender version in unstable suite has
this same issue you reported 3 years ago?
If not, please close this bug or let me know to do so.

Thanks in advance for your efforts in helping triaging bugs for blender.

Cheers.

When I try to open a COLLADA 1.4 .dae file using Illusoft's importer
that comes with the package (for example, a cube that comes when a new
scene is created, being exported as COLLADA 1.4 with Illusoft's
exporter, or a sample model from Google 3D Warehouse

causes error, seems to fail at resolving links e.g. between
instance_geometry url=#blah / and geometry id=blah name=blah /
tags in XML tree. The sample console output is below:

problem.

Hi!

I've tried reproducing this bug on a couple of recent versions and
I'm not able to get the same result you did.
I suppose this is enough to consider the issue resolved at present time.

So closing.

Cheers.

I would prefer a builder instead of distributing a downloader + builder.

I wouldn't count on it, let's assume 'no' for now.

The freeze is approaching. Did we reach any conclusion how to proceed on this?

Bug#673447: mplayer2: Would be nice to have vaapi support available

2012-05-18 Thread Rogério Brito
Package: mplayer2
Severity: wishlist

People that install packages like i965-va-driver and have the
appropriate drivers could really benefit from their (already
available) hardware decoding capabilities.

In particular, it would be superb to have this in the next release of
Debian (the same also applies to regular mplayer).

Regards.

P.S.: It is a shame, from a Free as in Freedom point of view, that
vdpau (which is at present, only available in binary nvidia
drivers---please, correct me if I am mistaken) has had support for
quite some time, while vaapi hasn't.

Hi,

during an automated test it was detected that laditools uses the rsvg
utility [1].

This tool has long been deprecated and replaced by rsvg-convert. In a
recent upstream commit rsvg was removed from the librsvg package [2].

The rsvg-convert utility is command line compatible with rsvg, so the
update should be straight forward.

Please update laditools at your earliest convenience.

Thanks!

Michael,
on behalf of the Debian GNOME team.
