Bug#699328: libavutil51: relocation error after upgrade

2013-01-30 Thread Dmitri
Package: libavutil51
Version: 6:9~beta1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
Good day!

After upgrading libavutil51 to 6:9~beta1-1 some programs are failed to start

noroot@GNUmd:~$ audacity
audacity: relocation error: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libavcodec.so.53:
symbol ff_sqrt_tab, version LIBAVUTIL_51 not defined in file libavutil.so.51
with link time reference

or

noroot@GNUmd:~$ ffmpeg
ffmpeg: relocation error: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libavcodec.so.53:
symbol ff_sqrt_tab, version LIBAVUTIL_51 not defined in file libavutil.so.51
with link time reference

Simply downgrading libavutil51 to 6:0.8.5-1 from testing temporarry solves the
problem.

Thank you!
Best regards, Dmitri

This is #691088. libavutil51 in experimental has broken ABI and should

But #691088 has already been closed by uploading libavutil52, i.e. with a
SONAME bump. Maybe we should ask ftp-masters to remove the libavutils51
package from experimental from the servers.

This has already happened, dimitry is using an mirror that lags behind.

Then ftp2.de.d.o lags behind, too, because I was just able to
reproduce this issue by installing apt-get install
libavutil51=6:9~beta1-1. Maybe we should add a Breaks relationship to
the affected libavcodec package?

Oh, it seems that I mislooked, and ftp-master didn't NBS it after all.

 Maybe we

nah, that's really the ftp-masters job.

Alessio, can you perhaps update the get-orig-upstream scripts to copy
with post 0.5 svn snapshots? I think upstream has fixed compilation
against newer libavcodec (cf. r3792, r3932, r3989, r3990, etc.). I'd
there suggest to upload a new svn snapshot to experimental now and test
it there.

What do you think?

Reinhard

Bug#699393: gnome-mplayer: starts with zero height canvas instead of normal (1:1) size

2013-01-30 Thread Francesco Poli (wintermute)
Package: gnome-mplayer
Version: 1.0.7-4
Severity: normal

Hello,
I noticed that gnome-mplayer often starts playing a video with
an awkward zero-height canvas (== the area where the video is played,
I am not sure of the correct name for this part of the GUI window...).

As soon as I start the program:

  $ gnome-mplayer some-video.ogv

the canvas seems to have the correct width, but zero height.
Hence the video is played, but is not visible.

If I press [Ctrl+1], the canvas is resized to the video original
width and height and everything works fine.
Other resize commands are also able to fix this problem.

However, I think that gnome-mplayer should start with a canvas
having the correct width and height for the video being played,
without waiting for the user to hit [Ctrl+1].

I experience this issue with some videos, but not with all the ones
I tested.

One example video where I can reproduce this issue is
http://archive.org/download/LeVoyageDansLaLune_218/voyage.ogv
(which is the Ogg Video version of the 1902 silent film by Georges
Méliès, currently in the public domain:
http://archive.org/details/LeVoyageDansLaLune_218 )

Please fix this issue and/or forward my bug report upstream.
Thanks for your time.

Bug#699394: gnome-mplayer: [Ctrl+T] fails to take screenshot

2013-01-30 Thread Francesco Poli (wintermute)
Package: gnome-mplayer
Version: 1.0.7-4
Severity: normal

Hello again,
I seem to be unable to use the built-in feature to take screenshots.

After starting to play a video:

  $ gnome-mplayer one-video.ogv

I tried to hit [Ctrl+T], while the video was being played, but
nothing seemed to happen. No file was created (at least, not
in the current working directory, where I would expect it,
or even in /tmp ...)

I also tried to choose Take Screenshot from the Edit menu,
but again nothing happened.

What's wrong?
What did I fail to understand?

Bug#699394: gnome-mplayer: [Ctrl+T] fails to take screenshot

2013-01-30 Thread Sebastian Ramacher
Control: tags -1 unreproducible moreinfo

Hi Francesco,

I seem to be unable to use the built-in feature to take screenshots.

After starting to play a video:

   $ gnome-mplayer one-video.ogv

Unfortunately I can't reproduce the bug. Could you please attach the output of
'gnome-mplayer -v $thevideo'?

Bug#670377: i915_drv_video.so is unabailable

2013-01-30 Thread Daniel Karig
Package: i965-va-driver
Version: 1.0.19-1

Greetings,

Problem: no VA support for intel G45 and others
reason: missing i915_drv_video.so, which is not delivered by any package
solution: Should the installed i965_drv_video.so be loaded instead of
the missing i915_drv_video.so?

So, it's something like vainfo is searching
for /usr/lib/dri/i915_drv_video.so but the installed package has
 supplied /usr/lib/dri/i965_drv_video.so.
as said in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1064996#p1064996

Additionally it could be useful if vainfo would tell file missing
instead of unknown libva error.

I am using GMA3150 (in asus eee 1016PG) which is supported by the xorg
intel driver. https://01.org/linuxgraphics/about/supported-hardware
