Regressions in mpg123 since 1.14.0 (please update stable and testing to 1.18.0)
Hi, I'm the mpg123 upstream maintainer and just pushed out a release to fix some regressions introduced in the 1.14.x series. Among those is a buffer overflow that I naturally would like to see gone also for stable debian. I strongly suggest updating to 1.18.0 to fix the regressions. Providing a single patch to fix older versions is not trivial, so I hope it is fine with debian to push a version number also in stable. Version 1.18.0 introduces no incompatibilities with applications using 1.14.0 or beyond, so the upgrade should be painless. Of course I trust you to do your share of testing and verification anyway;-) Alrighty then, Thomas signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

This is because we need new libtool macros for ppc64el. In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following: * Use dh-autoreconf instead of autotools-dev to fix FTBFS on ppc64el. Re: Regressions in mpg123 since 1.14.0 (please update stable and testing to 1.18.0)
Package: mpg123 Version: 1.14.4-1 Severity: minor [turning this mail into a bug report against mpg123] Am Freitag, den 31.01.2014, 10:38 +0100 schrieb Thomas Orgis: Hi, I'm the mpg123 upstream maintainer and just pushed out a release to fix some regressions introduced in the 1.14.x series. Of course I trust you to do your share of testing and verification anyway;-) Alrighty then, Thomas ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
