'libav-tools' vs 'ffmpeg'
Hello everybody. As the conflicts of libav-tools and ffmpeg are going on, I want to mention that: "In particular, FFmpeg's features are a superset of Libav's features. This is because FFmpeg merges Libav's git master on a daily basis." This is from this link https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/wiki/FFmpeg-versus-Libav That means all features in libav in ffmpeg and more, and the updates are more active in ffmpeg that libav, I hope the developer in Debian have another look in this issue and take the right decision. Thank you all multimedia maintainers. HELLO!!!
To your attention, I would like firstly to apologize for this intrusion into your life. I do not know you and even though I admit that it is very important to me. I am Sonia Merchant, French origin, born May 17, 1965 in Toulon. I unfortunately suffering from cancer at the Gorge for over 3 ½ years, my doctor has just informed me that I am terminally ill and that my days are numbered because of my health deteriorated enough. I am a widow and I have not had the chance to have children, or near, something I deeply regret. In fact, the reason why I contacted you, I want to make Don a large part of my property because I have no one who could inherit. I almost sold all my belongings including a Rental Company Luxury Yacht, a Steel and plant transformation of raw gold refined in Africa where I lived for 33 years now. A large part of these funds raised was paid to various humanitarian associations characters around the world, but especially here in Africa. As for the rest of the sum, which amounts to exactly *two million eight hundred fifty-two thousand six hundred twenty Euro (€ 2,852,620*) on a Personal Account Blocked, my last wish would be to make Don so that you can invest a portion in your industry and especially in the humanitarian, helping people in need and one for your personal needs. I am fully aware of what I intend to do. I think despite the fact that I do not know you, that you will make good use of that money. I beg you to accept this legacy but nothing ask you in return if not always think that do good around you, something I have not been able to do during my good health. And not only my assets become the property of the government or I currently reside. That said, being relieved to have fallen on a responsible person and above all good faith, I ask you to please contact me as soon as possible to put you in touch with the lawyer who will handle the procedure in this donation and the transfer of funds to you. warmly Sonia Marchand ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

Packages using old dpkg tools paths
Hi! I was notified by Emmanuel Bourg that there are still packages making use of the old compat paths for u-a, dpkg-divert and dpkg-statoverride in /usr/sbin. Those compat symlinks got removed in dpkg 1.17.0: ,--- * Remove update-alternatives, dpkg-divert and dpkg-statoverride compatibility symlinks under /usr/sbin/. `--- I'm planning on starting to file bug reports for the source packages below (BCCed). I've not checked (yet) how severe the dpkg-statoverride ones are, but if most of them do not get fixed, I might consider reintroducing the compat symlink for that one alone if the release-team (CCed) sees fit to that. :/ I'm not entirely sure why most of those packages are using a construct like this though: ,--- if [ ! -x /usr/sbin/dpkg-statoverride ] || \ ! dpkg-statoverride --list $CONF > /dev/null then […] fi `--- instead of just using the command directly? Maybe cargo-culted from somewhere? I also thought there was a lintian warning on absolute path usage, but either I cannot find it after a quick glance over the website, the code, git log and BTS, or I misremembered. Bug#767882: audacity: Please enable build with system-libraries of liblilv-0-0
Package: audacity Version: 2.0.6-2~kmk1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, the actual packages of audacity in unstable (2.0.6-2) is linked against the upstream shipped version of liblilv, needed for the lv2-plugin-support of audacity. It should be linked against the system-libraries by adding the configure-flag "--with-lv2=system" to the debian/rules-file. If your compare the resulting audacity-binary with "objdump -p /usr/bin/audacity | grep NEEDED" you will get the additional NEED for liblilv-0.so.0. Thanks!
