Bug#770677: blender: Blender crashes while rendering with cycles.

2014-11-23 Thread Tom Guder
Package: blender
Version: 2.72.b+dfsg0-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

blender crashes while rendering with cycles (with gui and in a shell also). I
tested it on all my systems, so I think it is a problem in general. The
originalpackage from blender.org works.

Thank you and best regards
Tom Guder

Bug#765071: Change in severity

2014-11-23 Thread Michele Cane
To be more clear is not a browser problem.
As I said before every browser I tried on several devices does not
display icons.
I did a fresh install on amd64 and it works fine. I can connect to
mediatob from any browser.
I did a fresh install on armel and the result is no icons no matter
which browser I use for connecting to the mediatomb.

I think the severity should be reverted to grave.

Cheers

Mike

This is not reproducible with a fresh install of mediatomb. We have
tried it with iceweasel and chromium and all icons are displayed
 correctly.

Do you have any extensions installed that mess with your browser?

I'm downgrading the bug since I don't think this is a bug in mediatomb.

Bug#770377: (no subject)

2014-11-23 Thread Andriy Grytsenko
25 is not much a difference from current limitation which is 20.
When you tell about 10 - 10 is default, which can be changed in the
configuration dialog, but you cannot increase it over 20, only way to
increase is manually editing ini file but in that case you will be
forever prohibited to open configuration again because it will then
instantly reset it to 20 and drop all the history items over 20.

Just compare it with the URL history which is maxed to 50. Have partial
history being much bigger than full history is insane, and I believe full
history should be allowed to set to 50 as well.

Dear Maintainer,

This has been happening even in the 2.1.X stable versions of VLC.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Going into Audio - Stereo Mode - Left/Right

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Choosing any of those two doesn't do anything, VLC still plays both
channels regardless.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

To have either the left or the right channel to be duplicated, and the
other to be discarded.

Here's the log of what was printed in the message window while trying to
use this feature:

Hello,

If the ASCII-art video output is used, vlc will crash with a segfault
when trying to play a video. The colored ASCII-art output plays just
fine. I've attached a gdb session. This is on an up-to-date unstable
with an Intel 945GM graphics chipset. VLC 2.15 had both ASCII and
colored ASCII outputs working properly.

Regards,
Dirk

This basically means that your video card/the drivers for your video card don't
support xvideo. Or that it got somehow disabled (unless you messed with the Xorg
configuration this is unlikely).

I tried to search the the net for a possilbe solution but I really could not
 find anything.

There isn't much you can do, except maybe buy a newer computer. What video card
and driver are you using?

In any case this is not a bug in mpv (or mplayer) and it probably also happens
with VLC's xvideo output. Hence closing.

Cheers

This issue still persists in 2.2.0~rc2-1

Also tested on VLC 2.1.5 (stable) on Windows, and seeking works fine in all
mainstream YouTube formats (webm+mp4, 360p, 720p, 1080p - the last one
got it through keepvid).

Bug#768388: [Cs-dev] Bug#768388: csound, cs: error when trying to install together

2014-11-23 Thread Steven Yi
Hi Felipe,

I don't know how many users use cs or extract. I guess if we change names,
there's a possibility we might break user's scripts or tools if they depend
on those names. On the other hand, if you're doing renaming for extract
and no one has really complained, I suppose changing cs won't be a big
issue either. One thing though, either way if you rename the generated cs
binary or do so in the debian package, I think we should add a note to the
manual about the alternate names.

Thanks!
steven

It looks like there is another utility named cs[1]. Would it make
sense to rename csound utilities to have less generic names? We
already rename in debian the extract tool, as it conflicts with
 another one named the same.
