I'm unable to reproduce the bug with the latest version in
squeeze-backports, the version in stable and in jessie. Without the
information requested by Reinhard I don't think there is anything we can
do. I'm closing the bug for now. Please reopen it if this is still an

 I'm reviewing old bugs in the debian bug tracking system. Can you
 please take a few minutes to revisit

 still an issue? Does it reproduce with avplay or avprobe? Please
 provide an example file that exhibits this problem.

Hello,

I reported the bug upstream first
(https://bugzilla.libav.org/show_bug.cgi?id=781), don't know if it is
useful to forward info here?

As this camera is being more and more used for pro videos, not
being able to edit them is a problem.
Workarounds are reverting to libav 10 or using ffmpeg daily builds, but
these are not comfortable options, nor accessible to everyone.

Bug#694616: libav-tools: avprobe does not support -show_frames option from ffprobe

 Hey,

 The 'ffprobe' tool from ffmpeg supports the option -show_frames, which
 produces
 output like the following:

   [FRAME]
   media_type=video
   key_frame=1
   pkt_pts=N/A
   pkt_pts_time=N/A
   pkt_dts=1
   pkt_dts_time=0.04
   pkt_duration=1
   pkt_duration_time=0.04
   pkt_pos=17724
   width=608
   height=336
   pix_fmt=yuv420p
   sample_aspect_ratio=1:1
   pict_type=I
   coded_picture_number=0
   display_picture_number=0
   interlaced_frame=0
   top_field_first=0
   repeat_pict=0
   reference=3
   [/FRAME]
   ...

 It prints detailed per-frame information. It differs from the output of
 -show_packets, which avprobe does support, by showing more detailed
 information
 about the video encoding. This example output is from the 'ffprobe' in the
 upstream git repository of ffmpeg. The 'ffprobe' that was in squeeze also
 supports the -show_frames option, so in some ways this is a feature regression
 with the libav transition. However, the output from the ffprobe in squeeze is
 considerably less detailed, and didn't work for some files that I tested on;
 so
 merging the code from ffmpeg would be preferable.

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you. This needs to be
implemented upstream. Could you take this upstream by filing a bug
report following https://libav.org/bugreports.html?

Please let us know the bug number so we can track the issue.

Hi.

I have just tried to transcode some lecture videos for watching on my ipod
and I can't get them working because avconv segfaults when I use this:

If I remove the '-pre libx264-ipod320' part from the command line, then
avconv converts the video, but not with the parameters necessary for a low
powered device (i.e., Baseline Profile H.264).

I don't have here symbols for libav (which means that gdb doesn't generate
any useful traceback), but upon using strace on avconv, this is what I get:

,

| close(6)= 0

`

I have not read the code (too short on time), but I suspect that this is
easily reproducible.

 Hi.

 I have just tried to transcode some lecture videos for watching on my ipod

  Hi,

  Please note that I'm not the bug submitter.

   Can you provide a patch, please?

  As of now, I can't. :/ I don't have the hardware to reproduce this or to
  verify the correctness of a patch.

  So I can only give a few hints about the background of this bug report.
  Anyone not planning to come up with a patch can probably skip it. :-)

   I don't know much about raspbian, and don't understand what you
   actually want to be changed here.

  I've used raspbian some time ago. The issue with some packages is that
  they enable ARM NEON instructions (and other illegal instructions?)
  during compilation, either generally for the armhf architecture, or
  based on what the build machine supports. The Raspberry Pi is armhf, but
  does not support NEON. Raspbian buildds *do* probably support NEON though.

  The Raspbian toolchain is configured to disable NEON. However, libav
  apparently still ends up with NEON instructions in the binary.

 That is not a problem. If NEON is disabled in the toolchain there will
 be still NEON specific asm included which will be only used if a CPU
 with NEON is detected at runtime. I'm quite certain that this works as
 intended.

  Surprisingly, NEON is supposed to get enabled for libav only if the
  debian/confflag script detects that the toolchain supports NEON.

  Still, for the libav package in Raspbian, this line was changed:
  #RPI -- don't build neon flavour
  #FLAVORS += neon

 That's now how I read the debian/confflags in
 http://security.debian.org/debian-security/pool/updates/main/liba/libav/libav_0.8.16-1.debian.tar.gz

 It checks if the toolchain supports NEON and other things by default. If
 it does *not* support NEON, the debian package will build a additional
 NEON flavor of the package. Building that flavor is quite pointless if a
 single CPU without NEON is targeted. So disabling that in raspbian makes
 sense.

 Building a NEON flavor makes sense for general distribution like Debian
 that will run on different CPUs with different supported instruction set
 extensions.

 That is the only relevant change I see in debian/ for the libav src
 package.

 So unless the original patch reported specifies what he wants exactly
 I'd say everything is fine and working as expected.

 The only minor issue is that if the toolchain uses NEON by default and
 one uses '-mfpu=' to disable it, the check will be wrong. I don;t think
 any of the debian toolchains are configured this way though.

Hi Peter,

there was a request to change the handling of the Raspberry Pi in the
libav package. Could you please explain the changes applied to the
Raspbian version? To me it looks like there's nothing wrong with the
package, but that you have applied some flags to optimize for the
Raspberry Pi? Is my understanding of the situation correct?

Dear Maintainer,

when I try to join many mp4 video with the command:
  avconv -i concat:p1.mp4\|p2.mp4\|p3.mp4\|p4.mp4 -codec copy output.mp4
The output.mp4 file is equal to the p1.mp4 file. It doesn't join the 4

 Dear Maintainer,

 when I try to join many mp4 video with the command:
   avconv -i concat:p1.mp4\|p2.mp4\|p3.mp4\|p4.mp4 -codec copy output.mp4
 The output.mp4 file is equal to the p1.mp4 file. It doesn't join the 4
 files.

This does not work with mp4. concat only works with certain files (e.g.
mpg and mpeg transport streams). For mp4 you can use something like that:

avconv -i 1.mp4 -c copy -bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb -f mpegts temp1
avconv -i 2.mp4 -c copy -bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb -f mpegts temp2
avconv -f mpegts -i concat:temp1|temp2 -c copy -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc output.mp4

(This assumes 1.mp4 and 2.mp4 contain aac audio and h265 video - if your
files contain something else, the arguments needs to be changed
accordingly.)

Bug#738760: libav: Add proper raspberry pi CPU detection

2015-01-03 Thread peter green

Sebastian Ramacher wrote:

there was a request to change the handling of the Raspberry Pi in the
libav package. Could you please explain the changes applied to the
Raspbian version?
In raspbian we have a checker that runs after all our autobuilds (and I
manually run a similar check when I do manual builds) that looks for
files tagged as armv7 (note: it seems using neon compiler options causes
files to be tagged as armv7 even if the CPU options aren't changed) and
prevents the autobuilder from uploading them.

In general i've been adopting the principle that having armv7 code in
raspbian is at best a pointless waste of space (if the code in question
is correctly guarded behind runtime CPU detection) and at worst a
serious problem (if it isn't). Therefore I have been responding to cases
like this by simply disabling the armv7/neon code. The raspbian libav
package got this treatment.

It's possible that I dodn't selct the best combination of flags, I'm no
libav expert.

I have not tested whether an unodified debian libav package built in a
raspbian chroot actually works on the Pi or not.

 rm_conffile /etc/avserver.conf 6:11.1-2~

Thanks, I forgot about that. This is now fixed in the experimental
branch.

Cheers

filmovix.org - filmovi na računalu

2015-01-03 Thread emark

gledaj online filmove potpuno besplatno...

** Šta je potrebno za gledanje filmova preko interneta
(http://pet.prevodim.com/interspire/link.php?M=181693N=11L=8F=T)

kada nadjete zajednički, onda ih spojite kabelom.

Kako funkcionira?

- Vrlo jednostavno.
