Hi Evgeni,

Have you tried turning hardware acceleration off?

I'm currently seeing VLC crash with the same stack trace when trying to
play HDTV recordings (1920x1080). But not with standard definition TV.

With the same files, xine's UI locks up ignoring input (but the video
keeps playing) when skipping through the file.

Turning off hardware video acceleration has stopped the problems in both
VLC and Xine for me. In both programs I'm turning it off via the GUI
options.

I'm using a Radeon graphics card (lspci info below).

Bug#641992: dvbcut in wheezy doesn't work at all

2011-12-29 Thread Steve Cotton
Package: dvbcut
Followup-For: Bug #641992

Hmm ...

* The binary of dvbcut does not work for me, with the same symptoms
described in the initial bug report.
* Simply rebuilding the package from Git tag debian/0.5.4+svn170-1 does work
  for me. (yes, works)
* More comprehensive Qt4 patches than the ones attached to this bug report
are already in the Debian package.
